Why send a person when a robot can go?

FISHER is a modular payload for GARC that deploys the VideoRay Defender ROV into underwater threat environments, allowing operators to investigate hazards without putting themselves in harm’s way.

Mine countermeasures, hazard response, and subsea inspection can all be conducted from a safe distance.

And because FISHER is built on GARC’s interchangeable payload architecture, the same vessel can be rapidly reconfigured for an entirely different mission when needed.

The mission is still the operator’s. The danger doesn’t have to be.

BlackSea Technologies participated in Artic Sentry 2026, a NATO enhanced vigilance activity in the High North, where GARC demonstrated autonomous surface vessel operations in cold-weather maritime conditions alongside U.S. 6th Fleet, USVRON-3, and the Royal Norwegian Navy.

As naval forces prepare for increasingly dynamic operating environments, scalable autonomous systems will play an expanding role in extending capability, improving operational flexibility, and supporting the next generation of maritime operations.

BlackSea Technologies has been awarded a $256 million Navy contract to deliver Seabased Petroleum Distribution Systems (SPDS), a capability designed to move bulk fuel from sea to shore without relying on ports, pipelines, or established logistics nodes.

SPDS supports offshore deployment, transfer, and distribution in one system, giving the joint force a way to sustain operations where access is limited and infrastructure is at risk.

Production will be centered in Baltimore and supported by partners along the Gulf Coast.

We'll be attending Xponential this year alongside the training community focused on advancing operator standards across unmanned systems.

Our training program is part of the AUVSI Trusted Operator accreditation framework. We were the first to be certified, and our approach is shaped by real-world operations with systems deployed globally.

If you're interested in learning more, reach out to [email protected] for a meeting or catch us alongside the AUVSI team at their booth.
