An update on the future... A lot of folks have been asking what my next move is. Honestly, I don't know. I just know I feel most at home helping, so helping is where I'm going to tocus all my attention. I'm happy and lucky to have you all with me along the way. 🤙💛

Reuse when you can’t recycle… These campaign signs won’t be recycled, so many have asked them for art projects. The thing is, we got way too many signs. Hundreds. Can anyone use these for a project so they don’t end up in a landfill? Let me know.

This post isn’t related to the campaign, but just in case…authority: Bobby LaPin for Baltimore | Alicia Jones, Treasuer

Seven months. That’s how long it took to get here. It didn’t happen because leadership woke up one morning ready to act. It happened because you refused to let this go.

Baltimore, this one’s yours.

Maryland’s lawmakers are heading back to Annapolis August 3rd–5th for a special session. They’re not drawing new maps yet. The senate will vote on the constitutional amendment passed by the house in January. That amendment will clear the road to draw a new map, if needed, before the 2028 election.

I know it’s not exactly what the majority had set out for, but at least the ball is moving forward.

Thanks for showing up and speaking out. You kept the pressure on when it would’ve been easier to move on.

So congratulations to every neighbor who made a call, signed a petition, or just refused to stay quiet. This is what it looks like when regular folks decide the status quo isn’t good enough.

We’re not done. But today, take the win. You earned it. Love ya, folks!

Baltimore’s Fourth of July Fireworks. (As if you won’t be seeing a lot of these posts today 🤣)

This drought makes the threat of brush fires from fireworks a reality. Best to be responsible.

NO MORE RATE HIKES!

BGE made half a BILLION in profit last year. Now they want the state to guarantee them even MORE.

Working people can't afford anymore bills.

When the General Assembly meets this month for the special session, they should FREEZE THE RATES!

Don’t let your dog get fried. 🐶☀️

The heat is no joke and this heat dome is turning our sidewalks into stovetops. Once a surface hits 125 degrees, it becomes super dangerous for your pet.

A few more tips to keep them safe:

✅Walk early morning or after sunset when the ground has cooled.

✅Stick to grass and dirt paths instead of pavement if you can.

✅Watch for limping, licking paws, or refusing to walk. Those are burn signs.

✅Booties are cheap. Vet bills are not.

✅Never leave a dog in a parked car. Not even for a minute.

✅Fresh water everywhere, always.

Do the 7 second hand test before every walk. If you cannot hold your hand on it, neither can they.

Stay cool! Stay hydrated! And stay classy!

No matter where you look, there's always a group of people building hope in the least likely of places. In Baltimore, that's Filbert Street Garden - with its fresh veggies, goats, birds, and honey bees.

If you see something that needs fixing, you don't have to wait for others, you can be that positive change in your own community.

Since they can't be recycled, what can we do with all those plastic signs around Baltimore after the election? Paint them!
