💔 In Memory of Ivy Marie 💔
Last Sunday, was one of the hardest goodbyes we’ve had, so much so it took a week for me to post….
Ivy spent the last two years here with us, and in those two years, she became so much more than just another horse at the barn. She taught so many of our little girls how to start riding and gave them memories they’ll carry with them for years to come.
And Ivy… well, Ivy was Ivy. 😂
She was opinionated, she made sure I knew exactly what she thought, and she would constantly stand in the back pasture yelling at me like she had something very important to say. She absolutely hated anyone touching her bangs, and she had no problem letting you know it. But underneath all of that attitude was one of the very best mares.
She was patient. She was dependable. She was special.
Her family has to be some of the sweetest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing, and I feel incredibly lucky that they trusted us with Ivy for these past two years.
The barn is going to feel a little different without seeing her out there—and honestly, a whole lot quieter without her yelling at me from the back pasture. ❤️
Thank you, Ivy, for all the little girls you taught, all the memories you gave us, and for simply being you.
Run free, sweet girl. You will be missed more than you know. 🌈🐴❤️
