Work as a hostess for The UT Club’s Tailgate Tent and Members-Only Club area! Hosting is FUN, easy, & only required a commitment of 6 days! Work where the longhorns play and be a part of the action on game days.
Responsible for greeting, banding, and checking in Members and guests into the various locations on home football game days. Also responsible for maintaining an orderly work area and assisting with various other duties and activities when necessary.
Compensation: $15/hour
ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING WORKDAYS:
• Saturday September 3 – 7:00 PM kickoff
• Saturday September 10 – 11:00 AMkickoff
• Saturday September 17 – 7:00 PM kickoff
• Saturday October 1 – TBD kickoff
• Saturday October 15 – TBD kickoff
• Saturday November 12 – TBD kickoff
• Friday November 25 – TBD kickoff
Training: Must attend a 1.5 hour Game Day hostess meeting/ orientation on August 28th at 10:30 am. **Alternate date available should you be unable to attend this training**
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
● Responsible for arriving at your designated scheduled start time (3.5 hours before kick-off)
● Responsible for greeting members and guests promptly and in a pleasant manner, making them feel at home. You will need to converse with members and guests in an outgoing and friendly manner. You will be asked to focus your attention on member and guests needs, and remain calm and courteous at all times, even when under pressure.
● Responsible for wearing a CLEAN and neat "uniform" (Official UT polo or game day attire (burnt orange colors), no t-shirts or tank tops, that meets UT Club game day standards, comfortable but still professional at all times. Comfortable tennis shoes, sandals and or boots (no flip-flops).
● Responsible for being knowledgeable of all club locations, hours, policies, guest policies, amenities for game day, basic membership information and direct prospects to a Membership Director for more information.
Other Accountabilities
It may be necessary that each employee perform many different functions, you are expected to help others when the occasion arises and perform other tasks as needed. A friendly disposition and good attitude are crucial for member retention and overall teamwork. The main job function will be checking members in at the tailgate or 6th-floor club level. Job requirements will be determined by the Membership Directors and game-day assignments will be determined based on the best fit for the role.
Working Condition: Indoor/Outdoor; walking, sitting, standing, and light lifting required.
****Attendance Requirements: Promptness is mandatory. You must be in the Membership Office 4 hours before the game. A typical game day is up to 9 hours. Note that parking will not be provided, you may have someone drop you off or parking is available across I-35 and around the stadium.
****Other Useful Information: A lunch break will be provided, with food and drinks provided.
