Just because it’s an old ranch truck doesn’t mean it can’t make a truck show appearance. I was working hard on trying to get the the crawler ready for the truck show but things didn’t pan out like I had hoped. Wasn’t gonna stop me from filling the spot though, and I’m sure glad I did I had so many people come up and ask me about my truck which was honestly kinda surprising and funny at the same time. I’m sure most people didn’t expect to see a dump truck placed next to 100k rigs but it was awesome if u ask me. This truck is kinda special to me. Don’t look real rare but I’ve never personally seen another 1989 V3500 single cab. It was just a left over cab and chassis truck that some old rancher ordered with factory ac and cruise control. It has 120k miles on the factory tbi 454 mates to a sm465 with a 32 spline np205. Dana 60 and a narrowed 14bolt dually. PTO 12k winch and a hydraulic dump bed. Every drivetrain component is protected by a thick 1/4 inch diamond plate skid plate. This truck is an animal. I’ve hauled 12k dead weight and made 200 mile plus round trips with the AC on full blast doing 70 mph. I’m sure glad I saved this one from being cut up. I think a new bed that’s a little easier on the eyes is next on its list. But for now she’ll keep on getting worked hard when ever the time calls.
