Exhaust Leaks! Just as bad as boost leaks but these affect the after-treatment (exhaust filtration system) more. Clogged DPF, constant regen, Low Regen temperatures, even DEF derates eventually. Volvo’s have this weak spot. The flex pipe likes to burn holes over time. Fix this as soon as possible so you don’t need to spend more money on DPF cleaning or even replacement.

Boost leaks. These leaks will cost you fuel mileage, constant regen problems, and DEF Derates!!
Fix all the boost leaks that exist if you want your truck to run properly. This is one very overlooked area especially when a customer comes complaining about regen problems!

Don’t ever install screws randomly!! You never know what might behind that floor board or dash panel! It can be wires or it can even be a very expensive computer module! In this case the driver had inoperative gauges on the dash just from something simple as a screw shorting out wires!
