about simcraft

We have been here since the early days; hear our story. A small manufacturer that has grown into a professional powerhouse of original designs and technology. mission statement

To redefine humanity’s expectations of high-fidelity simulation by delivering precision-engineered motion technology rooted in physics. We are dedicated to creating the most immersive simulated environments

, where our measure of realism is based on the brain’s response to optimal motion cues. Driven by the persistent desire to create the most authentic virtual experiences, providing a simulation that connects users to the real-world dynamics of vehicles with proven and unmatched accuracy. privately held and year over year profitable

SimCraft is a profitable, privately held company with over 25 years of unwavering commitment to excellence in the simulation industry. Our success is driven by a dedicated small team of partners who are deeply involved in every aspect of the business operation. This tight-knit group shares a unified vision and a hands-on approach, ensuring that each decision is made with the long-term stability and growth of SimCraft in mind. The cohesion within our leadership team fosters a culture of reliability, innovation, and excellence, which has been key to our longevity and sustained profitability. Together, we continue to build on a strong foundation, delivering high-quality simulators and exceptional service to our clients. At SimCraft, we don’t just build simulators; we build lasting relationships with our clients, partners, and employees, driving our continuous success and future growth. Pioneers in Motion Simulation Technology. At SimCraft, we’re not just a manufacturer; we’re creators of a groundbreaking motion simulation technology. Our journey began in 1997, conceptualized by the late William MacDonald, driven by a vision to add a third dimension to his flight sim hobby. His vision for a balanced “center of mass” architecture, reducing the need for high-force actuation, laid the foundation for a new era in motion simulation. Under the guidance of William’s son, Sean Patrick MacDonald, we’ve refined this vision, developing the only motion simulation architecture based on rigid body dynamics, and evolving into a driving force that’s redefining how vehicles move and behave in the virtual world, bridging the gap between real-world dynamics and simulation. As pioneers in the field of motion simulation technology, SimCraft has continually pushed the boundaries of what is possible in virtual dynamics. Our proprietary system architecture, based on rigid body dynamics, represents a significant leap forward in realism and immersion while simultaneously being more energy efficient. Unlike traditional motion platforms, which often rely on inefficient brute force methods to create movement, our innovative approach simulates the nuanced physical interactions that occur in the real world. This allows for a more accurate and authentic replication of vehicle dynamics, whether it’s in motorsports, aviation, or other high-fidelity simulations. By focusing on the science of motion and the subtleties of human perception, SimCraft has set new standards in the industry, enabling professionals and enthusiasts alike to experience the most lifelike simulations available today. Our commitment to innovation and excellence continues to drive us forward as we pioneer new technologies that shape the future of simulation.

History gets made in San Diego this Sunday. NASCAR takes the Cup Series onto the streets of Naval Base Coronado for the first NASCAR weekend ever run on an active military base, landing on Father's Day and the Navy's 250th anniversary.

Want a preview? Tune in tonight. The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series runs that same Coronado street course at 8PM ET, and word is it's tight, technical, and bumpy. A real taste of what the Cup cars will face on Sunday.

SimCraft is proud to sponsor the #50 Chevrolet, driven by Quentin Warman for Hyak Motorsports.

Tune in tonight and pull for the 50. https://zurl.co/D7BF2

TITLE SPONSOR ANNOUNCEMENT — SimCraft

We are incredibly proud to announce that SimCraft has been named the Presenting Sponsor of the Sim Gaming Expo 2026 — making them the first company ever to attach their name as a title sponsor to our event.

This is a massive moment for SGE and we could not be more honored to have the SimCraft name associated with our show.

Since 2008, SimCraft has set the standard in physics-driven motion simulation for racing simulators. Trusted by champions including 7-Time NASCAR Cup Champion Jimmie Johnson, their exclusive center of mass architecture delivers a level of realism that achieves 90% fidelity to real-world driving — a technology rivaled only by NASA.

Designed from reality and built for total believability, SimCraft is simply in a class of its own.

Beyond their role as Presenting Sponsor, SimCraft will also be on the exhibit floor at SGE 2026, giving attendees the opportunity to experience their world-class simulators firsthand. Stay tuned for more details on what they will be bringing to Schaumburg this September!

LE MANS CLASS WINNER!

Ben Keating and the No. 33 TF Sport Corvette charged from 17th on the grid to take the LMGT3 class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ben's third class victory at the French classic and an unforgettable one, earned just nine weeks after breaking his elbow.

Ben is one of our SimCraft pro drivers, and here's how he preps on his APEX 6 GT:
"Using my APEX6 machine, I get to learn a new track or refresh my memory of a familiar track. I get to dial in shifting, brake points, turn in points, apex timing, and real lap times for a specific car and tire." - Ben Keating

LE MANS LMP2 CLASS WINNER!

George Kurtz and the No. 4 CrowdStrike Racing by APR ORECA topped the LMP2 Pro/Am class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, sealing the win by more than a lap alongside Alex Quinn and Laurin Heinrich.

George is one of our SimCraft pro drivers, and 24 hours of clean, mistake-free racing is exactly what disciplined preparation delivers. He kept the car in the fight all day and the team did the rest.

THREE IN A ROW.

Denny Hamlin did it again at Pocono, grabbing his 8th career win at the Tricky Triangle and his third straight victory of the season, the first three-race win streak of his 21-year Cup career.

Denny is one of our SimCraft pro drivers, and here's what he had to say about the technology behind his prep:

"I have been in motion simulators before and they were not that accurate...and then I drove the SimCraft motion technology...it is second to none." - Denny Hamlin

Proudly NASCAR approved and trusted by drivers at the very top of the sport.

Next stop: the streets of San Diego. Four in a row?

Did you know SimCraft also builds flight simulators? That's actually how the company began. Today we can build a combo racing and flight simulator in one system.

One place is putting our flight simulator to great use: the Wausau Downtown Airport. It almost disappeared. Marie Towle, the country's youngest female solo pilot at 16, refused to let it.

Now teenagers in her Learn Build Fly program are logging Cessna 152 hours on a flight simulator, flying over the same runway she defended for three decades.

That's what motion-based simulator training does. It keeps her legacy aloft, one young aviator at a time.
