about simcraft

We have been here since the early days; hear our story. A small manufacturer that has grown into a professional powerhouse of original designs and technology. mission statement

To redefine humanity’s expectations of high-fidelity simulation by delivering precision-engineered motion technology rooted in physics. We are dedicated to creating the most immersive simulated environments

, where our measure of realism is based on the brain’s response to optimal motion cues. Driven by the persistent desire to create the most authentic virtual experiences, providing a simulation that connects users to the real-world dynamics of vehicles with proven and unmatched accuracy. privately held and year over year profitable

SimCraft is a profitable, privately held company with over 25 years of unwavering commitment to excellence in the simulation industry. Our success is driven by a dedicated small team of partners who are deeply involved in every aspect of the business operation. This tight-knit group shares a unified vision and a hands-on approach, ensuring that each decision is made with the long-term stability and growth of SimCraft in mind. The cohesion within our leadership team fosters a culture of reliability, innovation, and excellence, which has been key to our longevity and sustained profitability. Together, we continue to build on a strong foundation, delivering high-quality simulators and exceptional service to our clients. At SimCraft, we don’t just build simulators; we build lasting relationships with our clients, partners, and employees, driving our continuous success and future growth. Pioneers in Motion Simulation Technology. At SimCraft, we’re not just a manufacturer; we’re creators of a groundbreaking motion simulation technology. Our journey began in 1997, conceptualized by the late William MacDonald, driven by a vision to add a third dimension to his flight sim hobby. His vision for a balanced “center of mass” architecture, reducing the need for high-force actuation, laid the foundation for a new era in motion simulation. Under the guidance of William’s son, Sean Patrick MacDonald, we’ve refined this vision, developing the only motion simulation architecture based on rigid body dynamics, and evolving into a driving force that’s redefining how vehicles move and behave in the virtual world, bridging the gap between real-world dynamics and simulation. As pioneers in the field of motion simulation technology, SimCraft has continually pushed the boundaries of what is possible in virtual dynamics. Our proprietary system architecture, based on rigid body dynamics, represents a significant leap forward in realism and immersion while simultaneously being more energy efficient. Unlike traditional motion platforms, which often rely on inefficient brute force methods to create movement, our innovative approach simulates the nuanced physical interactions that occur in the real world. This allows for a more accurate and authentic replication of vehicle dynamics, whether it’s in motorsports, aviation, or other high-fidelity simulations. By focusing on the science of motion and the subtleties of human perception, SimCraft has set new standards in the industry, enabling professionals and enthusiasts alike to experience the most lifelike simulations available today. Our commitment to innovation and excellence continues to drive us forward as we pioneer new technologies that shape the future of simulation.

Thanks for the invite, ! Having Oscar Piastri behind the wheel of the APEX 6 GT at the virtual Miami GP was an absolute honor, and a great reminder of why we build simulators that feel like the real thing.

When Brad Keselowski broke his femur 8 weeks before the 2026 Daytona 500, sitting out wasn't an option. With on-track training off the table, SimCraft deployed an APEX 6 GT, the same professional full-motion racing simulator officially approved for NASCAR Cup Series teams, directly to his home. SimCraft's engineering team personalized the motion cueing to match his Cup car, giving him real reps without real G-loads. The result: a return to racing in 8 weeks, not 8 months. Read how a home racing simulator is reshaping recovery, prep, and NASCAR Cup-level training:

What a day at the Atlanta Concours d'Elegance at Lake Lanier.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, strapped in, and felt the difference. Conversations about the APEX GT, APEX CT, and GRID1 were flowing all day, and for good reason.

There is a science to why SimCraft gets within 90% of real-world driving fidelity. It is not marketing. It is third-party research. When your body, your inputs, and your muscle memory respond the same way they do in an actual race car, you are training. Anything else? It is just a game.

Learn the track. Learn the car. Build better lap times. Sharpen your racecraft. Zero compromise.

If you were one of the curious ones today, reach out. The seat is still warm.

Big news: SimCraft is partnering with KartSport North America KartSport North America at Trackhouse Motorplex in Mooresville, NC.

We're bringing the SimCraft APEX 4 CT into KartSport's driver development program, giving developing drivers access to professional-level motion simulation that most never get at this stage of their career.

The APEX 4 CT delivers precise rotational motion feedback that mirrors real-world vehicle behavior. Drivers will be able to work on braking, car control, racecraft, and consistency in a repeatable, measurable environment, allowing them to take that work straight to the track.

The program kicks off alongside the IAME Grand Nationals. Stay tuned for details on training offerings.

Ty Gibbs just won his first NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol on 95-lap-old tires, holding off Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson in overtime. That kind of composure doesn't happen by accident. Joe Gibbs Racing invested in a SimCraft APEX for Ty's driver development back in 2017, and Sunday's win is a direct result of that preparation. From everyone at SimCraft: Congratulations, Ty. First of many. Read the full story: https://simcraft.com/blog/news/ty-gibbs-wins-at-bristol-a-nascar-simulator-story/

SimCraft development partner Kingpin Racing had a strong showing at Road Atlanta this past weekend, as part of the massive Racing America/SVRA SpeedTour event. While the weekend was headlined by the Trans Am Series and Formula Race Promotions, Kingpin’s primary success came in the International GT (IGT) series.

Team owner and driver Tyler Hoffman delivered a standout performance in the International GT category. Driving a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup car, Hoffman made an impressive run from the back of the field (DFL) to finish P3 on the podium.

From raw steel to finished systems, everything SimCraft builds is designed around one idea: Drivers *must* believe they are in the car.

Moving around is not the objective.

This video shows why.
