Deanna Berry has been volunteering and serving in Bartow County for over two decades! Much of which has been done and shared through the nonprofits predominantly for children and families.
She had two children go through the Bartow County School system boat taking two different career paths both doing wonderfully after graduation.
She is a good person, friend who is honest compassionate, and those are two things to put together honesty and compassion. And has impeccable character and integrity. When you’re doing your research in this incredibly important election to support our children’s education and future growth and contributors to society if you don’t know her, please consider her if you do know her I know she’s got your vote.
Thank you so much for taking a minute to read my recommendation of Deanna Berry for school board
And yes, we have many fine candidates offering their civic service for the betterment of our children, their education and the future of our community
NEW CAREER PATHWAYS SHOULD MATCH OUR COMMUNITY
When I first decided to run, I made it a point to ask each of our school board members two simple questions:
What are you most proud of?
And what needs the most improvement?
One thing I heard consistently in that first category was our unique focus on career pathways. The work being done through the College & Career Academy and our magnet programs to prepare students for real life after graduation is something our community should be proud of.
When BCCCA was first established, it was designed to meet the needs of our local community. But like everything else, those needs have evolved… and we should be willing to evolve with them to stay relevant.
The team at BCCCA is doing an incredible job, and they deserve our continued support as a community.
At the same time, there are opportunities to build on that strong foundation.
As I’ve spent more time digging into this and talking with leaders in the business community and at the academy, a few areas stand out where we could continue to grow:
• Electrical and energy systems
• Logistics and supply chain
• Masonry and construction trades
These are all areas where demand is growing right here in Bartow County, and where the right partnerships could create meaningful opportunities for students.
As a school board member, my goal would be to support the continued growth of these programs and use my connections in the community to help start those conversations with potential partners, with the hope of turning ideas like these into real pathways for our students.
We’ve built something strong. Now it’s about making sure it continues to reflect the world our students are stepping into.
