Been seeing several posts recently from people switching from forward controls to mid controls on their Sportsters. There is an alternative! It’s the Rock-It Shift and the Rock-It Stop. Both are totally adjustable for angle of reach, forward, back, up and down. Plus the Rock-It Shift gives you the advantage of upshifting with your heel while keeping your foot on the on the foot peg. No need to lift your foot to shift up or down, simply rock your foot!
I developed the Rock-It Shift to eliminate toe-only shifting because of a foot injury. It works, and it works well! No matter the reason, the Rock-It Shift makes riding your rubber mount Sportster more pleasurable, and no missed shifts!

Had a customer call and order a Rock-It Shift. Told him about the matching Rock-It Stop and that I had prototypes from last development run available at a good price. They are identical in looks and only vary slightly (cosmetically) from the production model. He ordered one a week later and here is what he wrote back to me:

“Both shifter and brake Rock-it's are installed. I'm very pleased with the ease of installation and your instructions are right on. Weather is not permitting me to test ride but I've adjusted where I think will be good. Will send pics later.
Good design and quality craftsmanship!” Norm J.

Back in August of 2017 I did a post on Deb Morris and the Frankenstein Trike conversion she named Monster. Deb and her husband John live in Douglasville, GA and when John bought a Rock-It Shift for her, I contacted them and we met up to shoot some photos of her and Monster outfitted with a Rock-It Shift. Well, fast forward to June of 2018 and I sent a teaser email letting them know that a matching brake pedal, the Rock-It Stop was in the works. I had a few working prototypes made for further development and I let one go to Deb and John. As before, Deb did her own installation and was very happy to have an adjustable, matching brake pedal on Monster. Deb and Monster are picking up contest wins around the area and she never fails to talk about her foot controls from XL-ENT Products! Thanks Deb, John and Monster!

Hey folks, Jeremy Hymer, owner of One Eleven Cycles in Clifton, TX contacted me about the Rock-It Shift on 2-23-19. We had a nice conversation about the shifter and after I told him about the matching Rock-It Stop brake pedal, he ordered the pair for his customer! I am anxious to hear his customer's reaction to the installation on his Sportster “72”!

Well..... It can happen to anybody. Your bike goes down for whatever reason. In June I lost it when all but stopped on gravel. Bike went down on the left side and I broke my collar bone (mending very well by the way) and damaged the Rock-It Shift among other things (Oi!).

Since the Rock-It Shift is designed to be disassembled into its basic components, all that was required was a simple replacement of the shifter and the adjusting link (with hardware). These two replacement pieces are readily available from XL-ENT Products. There is no need to buy a whole new shifter.

The photos take you through the process of, disassembly, replacement of damaged parts and finally reassembly. While I had things tore down, I cleaned up the parts to be reused. Don't forget to use a thread locker and l**e the heim joints. I also cleaned up the shift peg bolts and reused them. Bike is all set to go!

My friend Rob Devlin and I took a ride out to Panhead City, Rome, GA. Built by Chuck Summers over a 38 year period, the shop has evolved into what you now see in the photos! It has been awhile since my last post, but I have been busy with development of another product for Sportsters.

Izzy Vazquez bought a Rock-It Shift late last year and asked about a matching brake pedal. We got working on it with emails, phone calls, drawings, etc. and I contacted Maskinell Systems, Inc. to discuss prototyping. Alex Kaduck, the Operations Manager worked extensively with me on the project and we now have a viable product to test.

I will be placing six Rock-It Stop units with several people for testing. Izzy and I will have one along with two to DK Custom Products, (they also carry the Rock-It Shift). Peter Antonissen in Belgium, and Joe Brown in Ohio also agreed to do testing for me. Joe has stock pipes, and we had to make sure it worked on his bike first. All have given their input and help which has gotten us to this point. A BIG thanks to all!

There still are details to work out and the final product may look a little different (but not much) than the computer model, and then we will put it on the market.
