1.) Think Before You Click: Be cautious of unsolicited messages, advertising or texts
2.) Use Strong Passwords: Use long, random, and unique passwords that include all four character types ( uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols
3.) Update your Devices: Ensure your software, operating systems, antivirus software, browsers and applications are up to date to protect agains known security flaws
4.) Share Data Securely: Avoid public wifi for sensitive transactions, verify emails and URLs
5.) Reduce your Digital Footprint: Delete Old Accounts, Update your privacy settings and protect your identity

General Motors (GM) and Ford are expected to announce decreased profits this week, attributed to the CDK cyberattack. Based on LSEG data, GM's second-quarter net income is forecasted to decrease by 7.7%, while Ford is expected to see a 10% decline in profit.

The cyberattack, which targeted CDK Global, led to a major outage in June, impacting more than 15,000 U.S. car dealerships during a crucial sales period. According to the Anderson Economic Group, the disruption is estimated to have cost dealers around $1 billion.
