Some days are tougher than others, and that was never more evident than when we heard the news about Butch Sevila's passing.
This one doesn't seem fair. Butch was the biggest hearted, most generous individual. An incredibly dedicated family man with a larger than life smile and an overwhelmingly positive personality.
He was the guy that invited you into his home (and garage) after just having met you.
He's the guy that drove his immaculately restored classics and almost insisted that your kid sit in them just to put a smile on their face.
Butch was the ultimate “car guy”, his Garage Mahal is the envy of every one of us in Cars & Cigars and we are honored for having known him, as car people and as a people who strive to be a positive force in the world like Butch.
Every year Butch put on a car show where he raised funds to help fight juvenile diabetes. He tirelessly worked his tail off that reflected his true, genuine kindness and that helped raise a Herculean result of over $300k.
In an effort to try and express our gratitude and appreciation for people like Butch in the world, we'd be honored to dedicate our first Cars & Cigars show of 2019 in his honor as well as raise funds for his passion project in support of his son, JDRF.
Please, if you can, attend a memorial in his honor this week. Here are a few options of services to pay your respects, attached in this message and via link: https://adamsgreen.com/tribute/details/4955/William-Sevila/service-information.html
We mourn with his family and friends but we believe that we are better people as a result of knowing Butch. Happy motoring Butch!!
We'll miss you!!
