Fun Fact Friday!
Did you know?
The exact total number of tow trucks—officially called military recovery vehicles or wreckers—in the United States military is classified and not publicly disclosed by the Department of Defense. The primary heavy tactical wrecker is the Oshkosh M984 HEMTT (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck), an 8x8 recovery vehicle with a crane and a 60,000-pound winch. The wider HEMTT fleet totals over 35,000 produced units, though only a fraction of those are wrecker configurations
