White bass beat down this morning! Water temperature was 59.5 when we launched the Boat and around 61 when we headed back to the launch. Finally things are cooling off and the fish are putting on the feed bag!!! Tim & Eric took home 40 big white bass and put back twice as many. Few fish on 1/4 oz Draggin jigs, large majority came on 1/8th oz H20 jig tipped with 2.45”-Pulse-r

Had a great morning with Bill and his grandson, Ashton. We only fished a half day due to the weather. Bill typically fishes with me a few times a year and always brings his grandson along.

We started out in one spot that I haven't fished in close to a week and never had to leave. By 9:00 a.m. we had landed nine legals and likely around 50 walleyes total. We made a move to go look for some perch but they were stuck in the mud and not interested in anything we gave them. I made another move to go find some bluegills and those we found but only ended up with five before that bike shut off due to the weather. We were sitting on a school of bluegills that was over 100 strong but as anybody who fishes bluegills knows, sometimes those really big ones are the hardest ones to catch especially when the weather is doing what it is today.

Our walleyes were caught on both minnows and large plastics. Most of the fish were sitting up in 3 to 5 ft of water early and as the morning progressed slid down the break and were out in 14 to 17 ft.

I didn't take any pictures with the guys today at the end because it was pouring rain when we came off the water and they had already changed to get out of their rain suits. I took home a limit of walleyes myself to give to my dad who can't fish anymore.

Out today with Ron and Theresa! 🎣

We stayed a little deeper today, fishing in 15–30 feet of water with plastics, crawlers, and minnows. We ended up catching over 100 fish! We even tried to boat flip a 24-inch walleye… 😂 You can probably guess how that turned out!

All in all, it was a super fun day, and not just because of the fish we caught. The conversations and laughs are just as much a part of it! Ron and Theresa come out with me multiple times a year, and I always look forward to spending time with them on the water.

The weather is finally starting to feel seasonal, and I’m looking forward to enjoying what’s left of fall. 🍂

🌡️ Water temperature: 62°F

There’s still quite a bit of algae floating around on the lake, but that didn’t stop us from having an awesome day!

Thanks again, Ron and Theresa, for another great day on the water! 🎣🐟
