Mountain Home and Hauling

This past Thursday, we ventured over to Marble to empty out a full house with quite a bit for storage, several items for donation and a good bit for disposal. So, we brought two trailers, five people, an assortment of furniture dollies, carts and hand tools then we got to work.

The house, itself, was about 1,300 square feet and roughly half of everything inside was going into a storage unit in downtown Murphy. After playing a few rounds of Tetris, we managed to safely fit two full trailer loads of items except for one medical bed into a tiny 10x10 unit. Our customer said to just take it back to the house until they decided what to do with it, so we placed it in the living room by the front door for easy access once a decision was made.

We finished up just a few minutes shy of 10pm on Thursday night and headed on home. When needed, we'll burn the midnight oil to get the job done. We're excited to see what the future holds for this gorgeous little home.

We got a call from a new customer who asked us to touch up this beautiful little driveway for them, so that's exactly what we did. 😊

We pulled back the gravel, repaired, adjusted and compacted the subgrade and then redistributed and packed in all of the stone. Cutting down to the bottom of damaged areas such as this allows us to rebuild a solid foundation for your road and, when combined with proper grading, helps to prevent future incidents such as this from occurring.

If your driveway needs a little TLC, give us a call or text us at 828-342-2247.

When one of our awesome realtors calls us for a quick pickup, we head on over and get it done. 🤙

This beautiful little shop had a few things in it that needed to go, so we headed over to get everything out of there. Some of it was donatable and ended up with Southern Samaritans while the remaining items will either be recycled or properly disposed of at the local landfill.

Whether you've got a small pick up that needs to be made or an entire home or property to clear out, we're here to get the job done. Give us a call or text us at 828-342-2247 or you can message us either on Google or on any of our social media platforms.

We love a good demo project!

This mobile home had been there for quite a while and the owner wanted to get it out of the way. First, though, we helped them remove all of the items that they wanted to keep and next we loaded anything donatable into one of our trailers and got it over to Southern Samaritans. Then, we got to work. We wrapped up the demo this afternoon and scheduled someone to pick up the scrap metal tomorrow morning.

For any questions about demo, driveway repair, junk removal or any of our other services or to schedule your project, give us a call at 828-342-2247.

Here's some photos from today's driveway refresh, and we only used material that was on-site.

The road was badly washboarded and the ditch was nearly non-existent. We cleaned out and reshaped the ditch line and then gave the driveway a fresh grade while redistributing the existing stone. We met the customer's budget, accomplished what the customer wanted us to do and even hauled out a little bit of junk while we were there.

Not a bad day at the office. 🤙

We put down some crusher run gravel and got a few logs moved back into the woods for one of our awesome customers today. We'll be back tomorrow to install a culvert and improve drainage on a low-lying area of the driveway and, after that, it'll be good to go!
