Big thanks to for sending over a package of their freeze‑dried meals. We appreciate companies that support the DIY Alaska community and are confident enough in their product to put it in front of a critical, Ranger‑standard testing process.

Everything we use or mention goes through real‑world evaluation in the same conditions our renters face — no shortcuts, no sugar‑coating, and no paid opinions. Looking forward to putting these meals through the full AKventure test and sharing honest feedback once we’ve had them in the field.

We are considering bringing a handful of boats and tents up to deadhorse, AK so you can have mobility to try to get the caribou of a lifetime! We would have them available August 1- September 15th.
