Dear fans of slot cars
Even during the sunny, hot summer, our production never stops. We’re very pleased that there’s still a lot of interest in our models despite the vacation season.
Today’s newsletter features a real showstopper. A completely new racing model, built to our latest standards for detail and quality, is being released in our “Racing Heroes 70s” series!
Until now, we’ve only been able to rely on models from the Bauer series to create modified racing models. The NSU TT, Opel Commodore, Ford Capri, and Opel Kadett were all initially new releases from Bauer. Our model builder was able to conjure up fantastic racing models from these.
Now comes a completely new model developed specifically for our racing line: the 1974 Porsche 911 RSR 3.0.
Porsche has been actively involved in racing since the company’s inception. The cars were lightweight and, compared to competitors such as Ferrari, Maserati, and Jaguar, had small engines. As a result, the team was generally limited to class victories. In the 1960s, under the leadership of Ferdinand Piech, Porsche made great efforts to secure overall victories with increasingly powerful race cars. With the Porsche 917, the company succeeded in 1970 by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time. However, this endeavor cost an immense amount of money, and Porsche was nearly bankrupt. Porsche had to refocus on the qualities of the 911. The 1973 Porsche RSR was already a highly successful competition model for both the factory and its customers. The evolution of the 911 all the way to the Porsche 935 is a success story without parallel.
We first produced the 1973 Porsche RSR as a model in 2003. Now we’re introducing the 1974 RSR with the quality standards of 2026! The UltraLow Chassis features a fully detailed interior with a driver, details, decoration, and paintwork—all executed to the highest standard we can achieve. A spectacular model! Impressively wide at the rear axle with great handling characteristics! These striking, wide “cheeks” look massive, but are an exact replica of the original model.
Our first model is a replica of the Kremer Porsches from 1975. The heating equipment manufacturer Vaillant was involved in GT racing and commissioned the design of a colorful race car. We chose to recreate the Kremer Porsche from the “International Super Sprint” race on September 7, 1975, which the Vaillant Kremer Porsche won.
And the best part: our 74 RSR will be shipped out in August!
