Straight out of Canyon, Texas, Austin Barker is the kind of guy who’s just as comfortable on a mountain trail as he is on the driver’s stand. When he’s not turning laps, you’ll find him spending time with his family, fishing, snowboarding, hiking, or doing what he does best—rescuing people from burning buildings. That’s right
 Austin is a firefighter, so he’s pretty used to handling the heat!

Austin’s favorite Keevin memory goes all the way back to high school when Keevin handed him a box of RC10 parts so he could build a car and keep racing at the old track Amarillo Rc Motocross / Wtrc behind the Skate Plex. That simple act of generosity helped keep Austin in the hobby, and it’s a memory that’s stuck with him ever since.

Whether he’s putting out fires or chasing TQ, we’re proud to have Austin at . Give a big welcome to Canyon’s own firefighter and outdoorsman, Austin Baker! 🚒🏁

Don’t let the calm demeanor fool you—when Todd Short isn’t keeping smiles healthy as a dentist, he’s chasing his newest obsession: RC racing!

Still relatively new to the hobby, Todd has jumped in with both feet and is always looking to learn, improve, and have a good time at the track. Off the driver’s stand, adventure is his specialty. Whether he’s traveling the country in his van, hiking through the mountains, or carving fresh powder on a snowboard, Todd is always searching for the next great experience.

Now he’s trading mountain trails for race lines and proving that the best adventures sometimes happen behind the wheel of an RC car.

Be sure to give Todd a warm welcome and cheer him on at the track. We’re glad to have him as part of the RC racing family!

Before anything else, we’d like to thank MykaelAmos for his service as a United States Marine. Your dedication and sacrifice for our country are greatly appreciated.

If you’ve been around RC for any length of time, chances are you’ve heard Mykael name. As the former owner of Inside Line in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he’s helped grow the hobby and made a lasting impact on racers from all over.

Mykael is also a world-renowned RC track builder, creating layouts that challenge the best drivers while keeping the racing exciting. Add in his experience as a former professional snowboarder and race director, and you’ve got someone who’s spent a lifetime chasing speed, precision, and competition.

Whether he’s designing a world-class track, calling the shots from the driver’s stand, or lining up on the grid himself, Mykael continues to leave his mark on the RC community.

We’re proud to have Mykael Amos as part of KRS16. Be sure to say hello, thank him for his service, and wish him good luck on race day!

This family-owned drink trailer will be on-site serving up refreshing dirty sodas, specialty teas, and energy drinks all day long. Whether you’re looking for a classic Dirty Dr. Pepper, a fruity Sprite creation, a sweet tea, or an Alani/Red Bull pick-me-up, they’ve got the perfect drink to keep you cool and race-ready.

We’re excited to have another awesome local family business joining us for KRS16. Be sure to stop by, grab a drink, and show them some love. Supporting the businesses that support our racing community helps make events like this possible!
