Don't go to ntb in alvin they have didn't do alignment the right way an they said the racking pending are bad an they only change one ranking pending not both sides an the lower conclor arms are bad an wanted $800 dallors to do the lower conclor arms.
Hello friends, I'm not into "bashing" companys for no reason, however I think it is important to communicate our experiences, good and bad, to the general public so that businesses are incentivized to provide good products and services. This post unfortunately deals with a negative experience I had yesterday at NTB TIRE AND BATTERY in Alvin Texas. All that said, here is the problem, I was told I had a bad tire, cupped and out of round and it was shaking, and it needed to be replaced. A seemingly plausable explanation because I replaced the ball joints and upper control arms after I had the tires about a year (Tires about 2 years old now). The new one (BF Goodrich AT KO2) skakes worse than the "damaged" one. I had them bust the bead turn it 180° and reballance it. Still shook. I also switched the the tire from right to left rear and the vibration/shaking followed it. Then had them put another new tire on it. It ballanced on their machine at 60 mph but shakes my teeth out at 53 +/- and 65 to 73 mph ( the speed I travel at most). They couldn't figure it out so they said the only thing they could do is an engine analysis for $108 to see if that was the problem (all the time without driving it)....uh NO! So they said there was nothing they could do...sorry pal. $275 later and still have a bad tire. Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money somewhere else for tires and atomotive work.
Under Our Story about NTB their description is fast. If a quoted 2-1/2 hours to replace 4 tires with an appointment is fast, I really am curios to know what sort of time frame it was before.
