Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a vehicle fire on US 31 near the Pellston Regional Airport on Friday, November 14. No one was injured in the fire but we had a VERY near miss involving a speeding passerby and one of our personnel on scene who was attempting to slow traffic.

Please be reminded that your situational awareness can save our lives! It is NEVER appropriate to speed through any emergency scene. We are already dealing with an emergency and we need the cooperation of EVERY PERSON who is in the area in order to send everyone home to their families.
