An open letter from Mr. Beau Grubbs:
I'm very proud to say I was born and raised in Springfield. Growing up here, I've been blessed to have so many people impact my life from teachers, police officers, firemen, neighbors, family and friends. In Springfield, we've always been that tough nosed community, where we really do work hard for what we have. It is truly an honor to work in the community that helped raise me. It is truly amazing to work with the kids in our district and help them reach their maximum potential and achieve the dreams they've always had. I'm so fortunate to see on a daily basis, how hard our teachers/staff work and care for our students. There are so many untold stories of compassion and caring that will probably never be told. I truly feel in my heart, our community is "Building for the future" which is why my family and I chose to move back and raise our own children here. Tomorrow is a very critical day. Tomorrow represents the future. I really encourage everyone in our community to vote yes to no new taxes, and vote yes for our students futures. God bless.

Springfield Local Schools has announced that the district is contracting with CrisisGo to offer a mobile technology emergency response system for Springfield Local Schools. Approved at the July 2016 board meeting, CrisisGo, a cutting edge mobile technology application, will improve school safety and crisis preparedness and response.

“Springfield Local Schools is very excited about working with CrisisGo. The capabilities of this product are just what we are looking for to help us effectively manage a crisis incident.” Said Superintendent Chuck Sincere. “The fact that we can have direct communication with emergency responders, administration, school nurses, parents, and students will save us valuable time and help to save lives.”

CrisisGo gives administrators and teachers a two-way communication platform and securely stores important emergency preparedness plans and associated information, such as checklists, class rosters, call lists and building maps all on mobile devices such as smart phones, iPads, and laptops.

"The best thing about CrisisGo is that the developers of this innovative emergency response system are constantly looking to improve, add to, and redefine the product to fit the needs of their customers, all with the goal of helping schools and communities become as safe as possible for their students and staff. We highly recommend the CrisisGo app for other schools to consider for their emergency response system,” said Dolan.

According to Rebecca Renshaw, Director of Marketing for CrisisGo, the mobile emergency application is being rapidly adopted across the country. “Safety and security are top concerns for school administrators and teachers. CrisisGo provides a platform for first responders and school officials to respond quickly and efficiently in any crisis situation. I want to commend Springfield Local Schools for their diligence in finding an effective solution to use in the event of an emergency.”
