The biggest difference between Alexander Body & Fender and our competitors is that they can usually make the outside of the car look pretty, but they don’t address the damaged structural parts. Another one of the differences is most body shops won’t take off the necessary parts to paint your car the way the factory did when it was going down the assembly line. Sharing some statistics I just received on an industry training webinar.
CCC(the largest and dominant estimating system/software that over 300 insurance companies use) reports that DRP assignments(insurance companies says use "their" shop) result in 10% of the vehicles having to return to the repair facility for corrections and items missed. It is even worse(25%!!!) if the collision repair exceeds $10,000.
At Alexander Body & Fender Company we believe the car is our patient and the owner is the loved one who just wants their "loved one" back and better. We are predominantly a NON DRP shop. That means we do not offer discounts to insurance companies for them to give us work. We EARN our work by fixing things correctly, connecting with our customers, being active/good neighbors and making sure the insurance company pays appropriately to thoroughly repair ALL damage related to the collision.
There are going to always be a few things that can and may require a return to our shop, but 10-25%!!!!! That is what happens when you are trying to be cheap and fast to please the insurance company. Instead, the goal should be to please the vehicle owner and repair things correctly.
Alexander Body & Fender Company has not been voted "Best Body Shop" multiple times by pleasing insurance companies. We try to please the customer. 95% of the time, the customer cost is zero(claimant) or fixed(deductible). We are not more expensive, we are more thorough. Your deductible is like a copay for a dinner date, if your copay(deductible) is $10, are you going to McDonalds for a couple Big Macs or are you going to Hyde Park for filets? Me, I want the filet.

This is the space in my car port that I pay a monthly rent for. After an extra long day in court, I came home to find this car parked in that rented spot. If the owner/employee of this company is so inconsiderate, how is their customer service?
