We are OPEN for the 2020 Season!

We are very excited to be back for the new camping season! We aren't quite sure what the season is going to look like yet, but we are anxious to get started and hoping that you will join us in the journey back to normal. We are a small campground, which is lucky, but we are fairly busy so we need to provide some restrictions due to COVID19 in order to keep you, our guests, our Host Couple, and us safe! We hope to be easing these with time and will keep you posted as we do!

COVID19 Restrictions:
* We are currently only accepting RV reservations. RVs must be self-contained; the bath house, laundry, and welcome center will remain closed.
* Campers must be with immediate family members or people with which they reside.
* Guidance on social distancing must be followed.
* No visiting other campsites.
* A max of 8 people per reservation/site.
* All common areas, including the playground are closed
* Preferred method of payment for the balance due is credit card via phone.

All CDC guidelines need to be followed.

Yesterday we went out to get some exercise and discovered that one of my favorite places had been damaged by a storm a few weeks ago! Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville, MD, was a village of small pre1900 cabins which were relocated to Grantsville and were used by various Artists to teach, show, and sell their wares. The little red house was for the local quilters. On the left was the covered bridge welcome area with a little map of the cabins and a message board for upcoming events. There is a blacksmith, potter, weaver, one of the best wood carvers in the country, and many others. This was a place I would always recommend to our guests and a wonderful place to Christmas shop too. Wishing them well, may you be brought back even better!

Dear Valued Guests –

Order of the Governor of the State of Maryland, Number 20-03-30-01, dated March 30, 2020; closed campgrounds in the state of Maryland.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear we will be able to open on May 1st, 2020. We are continuing to monitor the situation and as soon as we are able to open, we will update this page.

STAY SAFE AND STAY WELL!

Bee a Happy Camper

LAKES Properties LLC was formed by Andy and Lisa in September 2018, to pay homage to our children and grandchildren; each letter represents the first initial of their names! We purchased Bumble Bee RV Park & Campground in November 2018, with the dream of this becoming our second home. We love Deep Creek Lake and are enjoying becoming a part of the community. We look forward to our opening in April 2019, and our first year as campground owners. Please stop by our website to book your next stay at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland!

http://cqrcengage.com/rvact/app/take-action?engagementId=506977 If you are interested in helping out with getting private campgrounds open again in Maryland, please consider clicking on the following link and putting in your ZIP code. Once you put in your ZIP code, an automatic letter is generated that goes to all of your geographically assigned state legislators, all the way to Governor Hogan! The link indicates that the letter is coming from campground owners, but once you read it, you can see that the letter could come from any one of you who like camping in the state of Maryland and would like to see this recreational activity reopened. THE ONLY REQUIREMENT IS YOU HAVE A MARYLAND ADDRESS.
Lisa and Andy made sure our visit was very comfortable. The park is quiet and peaceful and pet friendly. The park is well taken care of. We enjoyed our visit very much.
