The dirt was calling me today! Back in the morning!!
Metric motorcycle repair. Open late!
The dirt was calling me today! Back in the morning!!
I’m cold and still under the weather. Headed back to bed. See y’all tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow is a little brighter.
This season has been insane here this year! Thank y’all so very much. We are tremendously grateful!! Taking a couple days to spend with family. See you Wednesday morning!
International Motorcycle and Scooter Ride to Work Day is an annual event to celebrate the joys of riding motorcycles.
We will be closing early today for a memorial ride. I’ll be back later this evening and stay late as need be.
Thank You all
Motorcycle season is full swing here in Texas! I truly love this time of year. For me it means early mornings and late nights. This year so far has been the most hectic yet. As a one man shop I ask that you call before you haul as we are stacked up at the moment. This year I am also being a bit more selective on what I bring in to keep everything moving forward. Thank you all for your continued support. This year I’ve also promised myself to get out and ride with y’all a bit more often! See you soon!
I’ll be out of the shop this Saturday. Have a safe weekend! See you all soon.
RSR Motorsports is five years old today. As always I am looking for ways to keep moving forward, streamlining the day to day operations and improve all we do. I have surrounded myself with some amazing people that kept me going when I didn’t want to. Those same people also drag me away when needed. This year will bring a few changes as well. We are moving our labor rates from $60 to $75. I am also looking to bring on a part time tech this year as well.
Thank you to everyone that have supported us along the way! I always hope that our love of this industry shines through.
We are closing down at noon today to spend some time with family and friends remembering one of the most gifted riders I’ve ever met. Thank you for understanding. Leave a message at 325-232-1976. I will return your call later this evening.
Every year we start off with a ride. Over the years we’ve been dirt riding, dual sport riding, supermoto riding, sport bike riding, and touring bike riding. This year is no different. Leaving out at 3. Everyone is welcome to join us.
Merry Christmas!! Stay safe out there. I’ll see y’all tomorrow!
A few years back I swore to myself, family and friends that I would start making more time to get away and get together. I haven’t followed through as much as I would like. Today I’m headed out of the shop for a weekend of kid size dirt bikes with family. I will see you all Tuesday morning. Thank you. Be safe and go enjoy this beautiful weather!
Winter hours! Tue-Fri 10a-6p. Sat 10a-4p.
We will be closed Saturday October 6th. See you all Tuesday morning! Be safe!
This year has been amazing! I want to thank everyone that has supported RSR these last few years! It’s been lots of late nights along with Sunday and Monday’s this season. I consider myself very fortunate to still love coming to work after 25 years of the same gig! Thank you all!
This week I’m taking a few days to put my bike in the wind. Closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I’ll see you Tuesday morning! Be safe!
Possible late start today. I’ll be at the eye Dr. for a long overdue check up.
Have a safe and happy 4th! We are open for most the day today. Couple machines left to pick up, then wheelies and burnouts are in order for myself. See you soon!
Spring is here! This is our busiest time of the year! It’s long days and long nights to stay ahead. More than years past. As of today, the shop is filled to 100% capacity. Call before you haul. Tires and other same day services are still available as always. I just ask to give a call first to make certain the line isn’t too long to get you taken care of first. Thank you all!
See y’all Tuesday!
I typically avoid working on anything older than me. This one here was a pleasure! Much like myself, it’s just too pretty! It’s good for the soul to see this in the hands of an owner that truly appreciates the vintage machinery.
As this year comes to a close, I’d like to thank everyone for the ongoing support. You all make this life very much like living a dream! It’s been over 20 years in the bike shops for me. I still love going to work. Thank you all!
It’s become an RSR tradition to close out the year on two wheels. I actually closed down today. Headed out with a trailer loaded with dirt bikes and Jim Croce jamming in the truck! See y’all next year!!
Late start today! Out for a ride! See you all shortly!
What was your first motorcycle? What was the first one you absolutely loved?
This is my first love. Yes, inside the house.
The youngest first motocross weekend was a success! After his not being happy with the results in moto 1, we studied the track and made plans to improve in the second moto. I’m proud as Hell of the progress he has made and applying what he learned at the school. The second moto started with a pile up in the first corner. This caused the boy to call on my personal “go to” and ride over his head for a bit until setting in.
I tell everyone that the biggest lesson to take away from the first day on a race track is humility. It’s no different for my boy. He is ready to get back and give it another go first chance he gets.
It's been a crazy and exciting summer so far. This week we are shutting down Friday, Saturday and Tue to get out in the wind. I've a couple more late nights ahead getting a few things finished up. Be safe out there this weekend. See you soon!!
As men we never want to hear we are wrong. Damn sure don't want to hear it from our wives! But, recently I signed on for just that. Misty has been tracking the numbers here at the shop and recently showed me the breakdown. There are numerous things that I haven't been charging for. My answer has been "it's the cost of doing business." Well, seeing it all on paper I'm realizing it's going to cost me my business if I don't change.
What does this mean? To most, only a couple dollars on each ticket. Misc. shop supplies will be on every ticket. 5% of labor with a $15 limit. This will cover chemicals we use on every bike that goes on the lift such as brake cleaner, carb cleaner, polish, chain wax, anti-seize, paper towels, etc.
We will also be charging for tire disposal. We have all been paying this every place we've ever been for as long as I can remember. Now that we've got a few years history we can better track the literal tons of tires through here every year.
This was not a decision I took lightly. After running the numbers this is right about the break even. Y'all won't see my new Ferrari parked out front from it. We are constantly looking to streamline all we do here and still keep the nostalgic feel of an era that seems long gone some days. We cannot thank you all enough for your support and understanding. We are very fortunate to love what we do. We hope to serve this amazing community for years to come.
A few years back I made a conscious decision to not have anymore bad days. Always remain positive no matter what seemed to be falling apart in life. I surrounded myself with the absolute best people I know. Crazy thing is, it works. The harder we work, the luckier we get. That is until the last few weeks. For no good reason I've been letting everything get under my skin lately. A simple ride on a simple little motorcycle under a mostly full moon can do wonders. A part of me wants to go ride until my attitude improves. The reality is it's 3:30 a.m. the doors are closed. The phone is off. Zakk Wylde is playing through this million mile PA at 106 decibels. I can sing along loud as I can. This troublesome fork looks to have finally bled out. This has always been my favorite time of the day and peacefulness that words don't do justice. These are the nights that remind me I love what I do. See y'all in the morning!
Stay safe everybody! We will be closing early today as family gets to town.
Out picking up my new wheels! See you soon.
We have a stack of yard signs! Stop in a pick one up!
My personal bike. Warming up the tire at the rev limiter in 6th gear.
I'm not one to ever ask for help. But, as this season takes off I've come to realize that I don't have the hours in the day to do what needs to be done. Most days I'm on the phone or running errands 4-6 hours a day. After much careful consideration I've decided that there is one person that understands my OCD and drive to keep this shop moving forward. She has been by my side for over 21 years now. In the next couple week Misty will be joining me here at the shop to run the day to day operations full time and keep me in front of the tool box. I can't thank you all enough for the support!
Before and after. I think this suites this one almost perfect! Still rides right with a full size adult. I think Barron's nailed the lowering kit for these!
It's cold and raining here in Abilene. We are shutting down early and headed to the show!
Stay safe tonight! Pit bike/dirt bike ride tomorrow!
It's been a great year! We can't thank you all enough for the support! This week we are closing out the year spending time with friends and family. We will be back January 3!
Some days everything wrong in the world can be made right on two wheels. When life gets overwhelming this one here always sets my mind at ease. For over twenty years I've been telling my girl "it could be the last nice night ever!" That translates to I'm going riding until I freeze!
Go out and enjoy this beautiful day! "It could be the last nice night ever!"
Be safe this weekend! I'll see you all next week!
Very nice 2008 V-Star 1100. Just had service and carb clean. Little Sister is looking to sell $4500
Safe travels to all headed to "The Rally!" Enjoy the ride, the scenery, the company you keep. Make memories that last a lifetime. Most importantly, make it home to tell the stories that will last till next year.
The week before the 4th is typically one of the busiest weeks of the year. This year is no different here. We've been working around the clock to get everything back as soon as possible. Still call before you haul. I hate to turn anyone away for lack of space. Thank you.
Approximately one grillion hours and 17 miles of safety wire later, this one is ready for the track.
Have a safe weekend!! See y'all on Tuesday! This Texas highway has been calling my name for some time now!
There are currently (40) 50cc riders on the track.
