A 2012 Ford Ranger came in with a no-start condition. Pulled out the scanner and there it was β€” Code P062D:47, a fuel injector driver circuit fault. Engine cranking but not firing.

These driver faults can be tricky. Sometimes it's wiring, sometimes it's the module itself. But you've got to test properly before throwing parts at it. That's the difference between guessing and diagnosing. βœ…

Customer brought in his Hyundai Accent after being told the whole gearbox needed changing. The code? P0748 β€” pressure control solenoid electrical.

Before we condemn anything, we check the solenoid resistance and function, the transmission fluid condition and level, the wiring harness and connector integrity, and live data from the TCM.

Sometimes it's a solenoid. Sometimes it's a wire. Rarely is it the full transmission. Proper testing saves real money πŸ’―
