When it comes to performance engineering, Porsche and Subaru share a deep connection through their use of boxer engines. But in 2002, that connection turned into something truly unique — a rare collaboration that produced one of the most underrated gems in JDM car culture.

The Impreza Type Euro, a Japan-exclusive wagon, broke away from Subaru’s traditional rally-inspired design language. Instead of aggressive styling, it embraced a more refined, European aesthetic, thanks to input from Porsche Design.
