Slowly gaining power, woolwich racing flash.
Started with a full tank and 79-81whp and after about 20 flashes and maybe 30 dyno runs including top speed runs.
Gained just 2whp but a ton of torque, very noticeable on the road.
Not sure why it’s not making more, tuner think it’s injectors… but we will see soon, the tuner is confident there is 90+ there, just trying to figure out why it’s not hit it yet 🤔

Tomorrow We are rammed with orders at the factory which I QC personally and also have a early morning dynojet run on the R7 88.8whp GP2.

Recovered the lost dyno result from the original GP2 dyno run from last month on the stock R7, 68whp before with 800kms on the clock and just the exhaust made 10whp gain!
Yes dynos read differently (though I do believe we have a very healthy engine, it happens sometimes) but it’s a before and after on the same dyno, power and torque is increased from idle to redline.
Do the maths and work (unlike certain brands just chucking out rehashed MT short pipes at silly prices) and there are gains to be made… and this is on a bike at the time with no 1st service and bone stock.
Wondered why it felt so more powerful, makes sense now.
I was told 73whp but that was from the tester and his memory, understandable to mistake a 8 for a 3 when you lost the file.

The R7M system is nearly finished and yes we secretly made a huge upgrade, it’s not steel but full carbon and still $499usd plus shipping for the full system with this full carbon exhaust which includes an easily removable DB killer on the tip.

This is high grade carbon which is classed as grade A, no corners cut, equal in quality with the best brands on the market.

ETA for retail release is still tbd due to Thailand closing PayPal and almost every payment system from abroad, still working on fixing this now, otherwise it’s bank transfer only at this stage until the government decide what to do with their new tax program…being Thailand, this could take a day or months and it’s a huge blow to us as we reach the end of development 😞

Logo is included but waiting on delivery, as you would be aware, the logo/sticker has to be specially made to stick and last on an exhaust with multiple heat cycles, uv protection and be waterproof.

Ignore the rpm this is on Thai fuel which uses 20% ethanol to make around 98/99ron but causes fueling issues…. Basically We are literally out of fuel on the injectors causing less power everywhere!

We don’t need to even mention the dyno is under reading still, it’s a bit better now as what used to be 15whp stock R15 is reading 12 now… so we are not going to make any wild claims you can decide for yourself when the YouTube video goes up.

13,500rpm is actually it’s peak power as rpm is off on dyno by…. Well look, it’s not even serviced yet and that rpm would kill a stock engine 😂
If you use proper unleaded you will make more power than this at lower rpm, just wish we access to some 98/99ron to use 😞

But this does make less torque than GP2 and we haven’t tested the full system on that yet as before it was the same China headers.
In fact with China headers and R7M exhaust it still made 86whp but little less power/torque everywhere.

It’s actually pretty quiet too compared to the GP2 but it doesn’t have that unique sound, this is for the rider who want lightweight, power, cheap price and great oem+ looks.
Racers/track day riders will love it and with the silencer installed should pass the db tests.

Anyway airbox and injectors next.

Then eventually when we have time we have a Mt07 head that’s ported and larger throttle bodies to play with.

This can/slip-on is the prototype was made quick and cheap but internally is exactly the same, does not relate to final product quality/finish which is handmade in house and uses real carbon to a much higher standard.

Cannot flash with most tuners and if you do make sure you have every mod ready as Yamaha directly told us that it is 50/50 brick if do a second time!

Final test of the R7M is happening now, ignore that logo, kid at the factory likes to play with the laser machine (They are fun I will admit) and it is just a test pipe not production quality.
Sounds nothing like the GP2 but should make more peak power and a little less torque down low…. Also weighs nothing even in steel, so much so we won’t be bothering with titanium for this model as the cost to benefit is not worth it.
Production model will have real carbon fibre and cnc machined end cap.

Heavily edited down video of a bad dyno day.
Slowly creeping to 90whp….But it probably is actually 90 due to the dyno being upgraded and calibrated wrong (all bikes since are now making lower figures than before), stock airbox, ecu and wrong fuel (used cheap gas instead of E20 which it is setup for) this is the GP2 system which makes 72+ on a stock 900km new bike anyway.
The R7M system will make more peak power with a little less torque.

So if it’s not mapped why is it more powerful?
Old school trick with the injectors and a video will come out soon explaining everything.

Oh that’s Yamaha the actual company making a video and studying the bike as it’s the most powerful R7 and they are starting a race series so they wanted to see how we did it and that was when it was only 72whp so imagine their surprise when it had more!

Was supposed to be finished Monday but happy Chinese New Year made the bike delay 2 extra days, tomorrow (I have been promised by staff) it will be completed and apprently a rather large YouTube channel is coming to interview us about the bike, I guess 72whp from a stock R7 and just the GP2 caused some shocked reactions here in Thailand?
The top end will be going back on along with custom ecu flash, new airbox mod and as a bonus the now new dyno will show what both exhaust systems can do, the GP2 twin and also the new R7M system.
A YouTube video is going up which explains why the dyno results disappeared (actually the whole Yamaha race team lost all their data and dyno results too!) worth a watch as it’s explained by the very people it happened to.
