SINGAUTO to Establish AED 100 Million Smart Logistics Facility in KEZAD

100,000 sqm advanced site will develop eco-friendly cold-chain mobility solutions

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 19 May 2025: Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group, one of the region’s largest integrated and specialized economic zone operators, has signed a 50-year Musataha agreement with SINGAUTO, a Singapore-based tech innovator, to establish a state-of-the-art facility in KEZAD-A (KEZAD Al Ma’mourah). The agreement was formalized in Abu Dhabi during the Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025.

SINGAUTO has committed AED 100 million in investments to build a 100,000 square meter advanced facility focused on the development of green logistics solutions. The new site will integrate SINGAUTO’s latest smart technologies to manufacture intelligent refrigerated vehicles, designed to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of cold-chain logistics across the region.

The facility will launch operations with an expert team of over 100 professionals, each with more than 15 years of industry experience, ensuring the delivery of services aligned with top-tier international standards.

Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities and Free Zones, stated:

On May 8, 2025, SingAuto and the Management Committee of Shanghai Lin-Gang Special Area officially signed the investment agreement for the “SingAuto China Headquarters and New Energy Commercial Vehicle Parts KD Manufacturing and Export Base Project”.

As outlined in the plan, SingAuto will establish an industrial base integrating R&D, production, and supply chain management in Lin-Gang. Once the project is put into production, it will have an export capacity of 50,000 sets of vehicle body structures and 30,000 sets of KD assemblies.

Establishing SingAuto’s global R&D KD centre not only facilitates the transportation of products to target markets, but also enhances supply chain responsiveness. According to forecasts, the global cold chain logistics equipment market is expected to grow at an annual rate of over 12% from 2025 to 2030.

In March this year, the Management Committee made a dedicated visit to SingAuto’s Middle East office to accelerate the project's implementation. Both parties deepened their consensus on areas such as cold chain transportation, green energy applications, etc., to develop cold chain logistics solutions.

As a hub for China’s new energy vehicle industry, the area has attracted more than 200 industry-leading companies, including Tesla and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd (CATL). SingAuto will leverage Lin Gang’s mature industrial ecosystem and collaborate with regional enterprises to promote the upgrading of the new energy intelligent commercial vehicle industry.

On April 23, Liu Yuqiang, the Chairman of SingAuto, led a core technical management team to visit Zhuzhou, Hunan, to hold in-depth strategic dialogues with the Chairman, Xiao Gaohua, and the management team of CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd （hereinafter named “Times Electric”）. As a leading enterprise in the new energy commercial vehicle field, the two sides reached a strategic consensus around the two major dimensions of “global market coordinated development” and “core component joint innovation”. This marks that SingAuto’s industrial integration has entered a new stage.

Accompanied by Chairman Xiao Gaohua, SingAuto conducted on-site inspections of the company. Facing the explosive growth of the global new energy commercial vehicle market, the two sides focused on discussing key issues such as the "modular platform development of the “three-electrical systems” (battery, motor and electronic control) and the "construction of a Southeast Asian global service network". Chairman Liu Yuqiang pointed out, "By sharing CRRC’s global service network in the field of rail transits, and combining it with SingAuto’s patent reserves in the field of refrigerated vehicles, we expect to cooperate and develop in many aspects."

⭐️ Co-Building Ecosystem for Value Enhancement
It is worth noting that this cooperation innovatively proposes the concept of “market value pool”. The two parties will establish a database covering distributors and resources, and set up a joint innovation mechanism in key areas such as lightweight chassis and intelligent thermal management systems. This in-depth coordination can not only reduce the comprehensive cost by 20%, but also build a barrier for both sides to resist international trade risks.
