2020 was a weird one. It felt like one of the longest and shortest years we ever had.
This pandemic has significantly changed the lives of all of us. From the initial stages to Circuit Breaker, Phase 1, 2, and now Phase 3. Everyday was dreadful. But looking back, everyday seemingly passed with the blink of an eye.
2020, nevertheless was a once in a lifetime experience, we believe for all of us and certainly eventful regardless.
As we move on, 2021 will be a year we look forward to more things to come and more products & services we can provide for all our friends here at Auto 101.

Hyundai Elantra Broken Stabilizer Link

Customer complains about weird noises when driving. This is what we found; A Stabilizer Bar Linkage snapped cleaned off its joints. Manufacture defect? Nobody knows.

Uncommon? Definitely. Not something you see everyday...

Honda Fit Engine Oil Leak Causes Coolant Hose to Burst

This is one of the things that will happen when oil leaks are neglected. Hot, runny oil seeps everywhere, causing this rubber coolant hose to soften and eventually burst. Resulting in an overheating engine on this Honda Fit.

Good thing we managed to save this one.

Hyundai i30 Fuel Leak - 02

Source of the fuel leak. Right at the top of the fuel tank. Unfortunately this is part of the fuel pump assembly. The whole fuel pump has to be changed.

Another problem solved for a satisfied customer! This time round we prevented a fire hazard. Keeping the owner and all road users safe!

Our sincere apologies for the lack of postings lately. Here’s one that’s really needed for reasons we will elaborate further and also to inform our Dear Customers & Friends that we’re still alive!! Hello! 👋

Many who have visited through the past 5 weeks would have known that when we said we’re working severely shorthanded, we really mean it.😆 To take things to a personal level, it’s basically a one-man-show (for now).

We’ve had customers who visited (some even twice) and got turned away. However, they saw the situation and texted back later to secure an appointment slot with us. We’ve got customers who know of our situation and called in days beforehand to secure an appointment with us. We’ve even got customers who have existing problems with their vehicles but choose to defer to another time when we’re less occupied and never once rushed us.

Therefore, this post is to show our greatest appreciation and to extend our sincerest Thank You for all the understanding and patience you have shown over this period. We hope we have not disappointed you in anyway and if we did, we would like to sincerely apologize…

We’re not at our best right now, but we’ll definitely put in our best effort for everyone who trusts their beloved vehicles with us.

With effect from 2nd June 2020, Auto 101 has been given the green light to resume regular vehicle servicing & maintenance.

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all our lives in one way or another, but it is still not over. As we strive towards a gradual normalcy, we should take steps to stop the spread of this virus with the following when you visit:

1. Appointments are highly encouraged to control the flow of human traffic at the workshop. We understand that walk-ins may be inevitable but do drop us a line before coming down. You can book your appointments with us directly over here at our page or contact us as 81260383 (WhatsApp: https://wa.me/6581260383)

2. Only one person per car should be at the workshop. Again, this will help us manage the number of people at any point of time.

3. Please ensure you have your masks on. Do approach us should you need a mask. It will be provided FOC for our customers.

4. Practice good hygiene. Hand sanitizers are also readily available at your request.

5. Temperature Taking & Safe Entry are mandatory. As most of us are probably accustomed to these procedures by now, we seek your kind cooperation. Please scan our QR code on your phones to check-in when entering our premise.

6. When it is time for you to make your payment, we will usher you into our office. To minimise contact with any surfaces, allow us to be the gentlemen and get the doors for you.

7. To further minimize contact, we encourage you to use the following contactless payments we have available:
a. Paynow (most preferred)
b. Bank Transfer
c. Paywave (MasterCard/Visa) - Please do note that most banks (by default) will require a signature for amounts more than $100.

8. Invoices will be emailed to you at your provided email addresses by default from now on.

Lastly, we stopped sending out our service reminders both via email and SMS since the start of the circuit breaker. We will resume sending service reminders on the 5th month since your last service with us from 01 June onwards. If you are unsure of when you service is due, just Drop us a PM with your vehicle registration plate (car plate) number and we will reply with the necessary information.

We sincerely thank all of you for your cooperation and understanding throughout this whole CB period. As we are working shorthanded now, we may not be able to answer your calls but please do drop a message to 81260383 and we will get back to you as soon as possible. It is with pleasure to announce that Auto 101 LLP has received official exemption from closure during this CB period as an essential service provider.

Auto 101 LLP will continue to operate and serve our esteemed clients during this critical period of time.

The circumstances from this Covid-19 situation has left us severely shorthanded. Therefore:
- All visits to Auto 101 will be strictly by appointment only. We will allocate a time slot for you and please adhere to the given times to prevent overcrowding at our premise.

- We urge all our clients to please put on a mask when you're here at the workshop. We can also provide you with a free mask if you do not have one.

- Practice safe social distancing when you are in our premise. Officers from the authorities have been on patrol everywhere. We do not want you to get into trouble, neither do we want to get ourselves into trouble.

- Hand sanitizers are readily available at your request.

- We encourage you to make your payment via PayNow and we will send the invoice to you in PDF format to reduce contact.

- We remain contactable via Call/Text/WhatsApp @ 81260383. As we're shorthanded, we may not be able to answer your calls immediately. Please do drop us a Text/WhatsApp and we will get back to you ASAP.

- We would also like to apologize in advance if we have to turn down your visit if we deem your repair as non-essential.

Remember, staying home is not all about you avoiding the contraction of the virus but also you, potentially infecting other people. Because you can have the virus in you, not show a single symptom and still be passing the virus to someone else.

Stay home whenever possible, not just for you, but for everyone else. This is social responsibility.
