We are seeing more older model cars replacing to steel braided brake lines, such as this Swift Sport ZC31 with additional 2 rear mid hoses making it a total of 6 lines.

Other popular models with 6 lines will be BMW E9x 335i/M3 and Toyota Estima ACR50.

Stainless Steel Braided Brake Line

Seamless extruded PTFE tube. The extrusion, heat treatment and quality control programmes are designed to produce the best quality PTFE tube possible, ensuring minimum porosity and maximum flexibility.

Braided from AISI grade 304 stainless steel wire, bright hard drawn to a minimum 1700 N/mm2 tensile strength. The braiding process is closely controlled to ensure even tensions and the correct braid angle, to give minimum expansion/contraction under pressure.

Brake Hose Inspection Carried Out on a KIA Forte K3 Prior to SSBH Installation

Twisting creates stress that could lead to rupture. It also can cause the hose to kink & block fluid pressure. To prevent twisting, one end fitting of a hose is usually a swivel (rotating) fitting that will turn without twisting the hose.

HEL Type R Development

HEL Performance | Honda Civic FK2 Type R Development | Forge Motorsport

The HEL project Type-R, loosely renamed here at HEL HQ as the HEL-R, is currently undergoing a series of developments at UK tuning giants Forge Motorsport. First up was a bigger intercooler which saw a 9bhp increase on the dyno last week, with the car now showing 331bhp following it's development so far. Plenty more to come before it leaves the Forge development department with induction the next area of interest....
