To our dear valued customers.

From the start of October 2024, we have no choice but to increase our washing prices. Bobian… everything increasing 🙁 from our chemicals to food to rental (which is almost doubled). In order to help our workers to cope with the increase. So really no choice as much as it pains us, we thank you all for your understanding during this tough times 😀

Be rest assured that with the increase of our price, we stay committed to ensuring the quality of each wash. Each feedback is taken to heart, and into action. Do not hesitate to reach out if you feel that anything can be improved in our operations🙂 (85396843)

🐉 Increase of $4/wash, with effect from Saturday (03 Feb)
🐉 Extended operating hours on Wednesday & Thursday (07/08 Feb)! - We advise heading down during these hours at 9pm-12am on those dates to avoid longer wait times.
🐉 Please do not queue past our designated areas during weekday noons, as we do not want to disrupt the traffic flow & our neighbours.
🐉 Please do cooperate with our neighbours or security personnel if they instruct you to move your car.
🐉 Please do not be rude or scold our neighbours or security personnel - we understand that the wait time might be slightly frustrating, but please do not take it out on them
(This happens way more frequently than you'd think sadly)

Hi friends,

Thanks for all the supportive comments across the past few days. We have not yet decided on a followup course of action, but we would like to respond to all who are have been concerned about us in a quick final post.

If anything positive has emerged out of the whole incident, it is that we have come to realise that we are backed by a whole community, including regular customers of Carpow.

This is also a good reminder to the general public - regardless of individual users or bigger corporations - that there are consequences to the things that we post online, especially in this age of social media and fake news. Journalism 101: Gather, record, VERIFY, then report.

This holds especially true for pages with a substantial following. It is dangerous to have trigger-happy monkeys behind these pages with the potential to reach thousands of people in a span of minutes. Editing the post and deleting related comments do not change the fact that mistakes have been made and their subsequent repercussions inflicted.

We will keep this space updated with any decisions we make, and any updates on the progress. But in the meantime, we will continue our efforts doing what we did for the past 4 years - serving the community who loves us, and whom we love.

Hi guys,

Thank you once again for the concern and support regarding the SGRV video 😄

A small update to the issue, as our long-time customer WMZ has pointed out, SGRV has deleted all our comments to their post including those of yourselves who helped to point out their initial mistake.

We would have liked a simple apology/statement on the matter, instead of just a “sorry for the inconvenience”.

But we do accept that this is probably the way the story ends from their end.

That being said, like an emotional person who has just been broken up via text messages, we need some closure so we can move on with life.

We hope that our dear customers and readers can help provide us with answers to the following 2 burning questions that we're curious about,

1) In the original erroneous post, who decided that it was by and at Carpow that the incident occurred - SGRV or the person who submitted the video? (or... is there someone else that we did not think of?)
2) Was the mistake careless or malicious in nature?

Most popular comment on this gets 3 months worth of free washes, along with a nice framed photo of your car at our shops for life 😆

Many have reached out regarding the incident posted on Facebook this morning. We would like to address it to prevent further misunderstanding.

SGRV uploaded a video today at around 1030am, captioning it as a Carpow worker having driven a pink Lamborghini into a parked lorry.

We wish to rectify that it is NOT Carpow, and none of our workers did it. Importantly, we do not drive our customers' cars in/out of our washing bays.

The footage seems to be from an internal CCTV by that particular car wash shop, extracted and sent to SGRV with certain captions detailing the incident. The original caption - which has since been amended by SGRV - quoted that, interestingly, it was "staff from carpow".

The video has managed to garner about 10k views before SGRV made the necessary edits to correct that it was not Carpow. There are screenshots circulating since then with comments such as "wah nb carpow so irresponsible one ah", or "lucky never visit carpow lol".

Irresponsible/malicious postings can affect one's business, whether intentional or not. Feels bad. 😫

Hope SGRV will be willing to at least post a statement that acknowledges this mistake instead of silently editing the post.

Thank you to those that alerted us to this, and for standing up for us in the comments as well. Kena scolded by wife cause phone keep ringing in the morning 😅
