Spa-Francorchamps. What a way to end the week.

It was a short one, but there was certainly no shortage of moments worth keeping.

Three races in a single Friday brought plenty of reasons to celebrate, with race wins, podiums and a full Speedy Motorsport podium in the 340R class.

But looking back at these days, it is not only the results that stay with us.

It is the people, the smiles, the celebrations, the conversations between sessions, the atmosphere in the paddock and all those little moments that happen away from the track.

And perhaps that is what makes a weekend like this one so special.

Race 3 — Spa-Francorchamps

And that brings a very intense Friday to an end.

Pedro Reis Ferreira completed his day with another podium, finishing P3, while Daniel Ferreira took P6. Bruno Knudsen finished P11 and Francisco Costa P13.

In the 340R class, Speedy Motorsport completed a full podium of its own: Tomás Gomes took the win, followed by Vasco Tavares in P2 and Diogo Tavares in P3.

Qualifying and three races, all packed into a single day. It was fast, demanding and, ultimately, a very rewarding one for the team.

And doing it here, at Spa-Francorchamps, makes it even more special.

A day that fills the heart.

Race 2 — Spa-Francorchamps

No time to slow down.

After a P1 to P9 comeback in Race 1, Pedro Reis Ferreira was back on the podium, finishing P2 in Race 2. Daniel Ferreira moved forward to P4, while Bruno Knudsen and Francisco Costa finished P14 and P16 respectively.

In the 340R class, Diogo Tavares made it two wins from two, continuing an exceptional day at Spa. Tomás Gomes joined him on the podium in P3, with Vasco Tavares finishing P5.

With the grid for Race 2 set by the inverted results from Race 1, every race starts with a different challenge.

Two races down, one more to go.

Race 1 — Spa-Francorchamps

A strong start to Friday at Spa.

Pedro Reis Ferreira delivered one of the drives of the morning, climbing from P9 on the grid to take the win in a remarkable recovery.

In the 340R class, Speedy Motorsport had locked out the top three positions in qualifying, with Diogo Tavares on pole, Tomás Gomes in P2 and Vasco Tavares in P3. Diogo converted pole into victory, with Tomás finishing just 0.262s behind. Vasco crossed the line in P5.

Daniel Ferreira finished P12 after starting from P11, while Francisco Costa finished P16 in the 420R Pro class after starting P13. Unfortunately, Bruno Knudsen was unable to finish the race after qualifying P14 in the 420R class.

Our focus now turns to Race 2, coming up shortly.

A full day at Spa-Francorchamps.

Three free practice sessions, a lot of track time and plenty of work behind the scenes as the Caterham Motorsport Iberia returns to action after the summer break.

Today was about finding the rhythm, understanding the conditions and getting the cars ready for what matters tomorrow: qualifying and three races in one very intense Friday.

Spa-Francorchamps, once again.

The Caterham Motorsport Iberia returns to Spa-Francorchamps for a very compact race weekend, with track action starting tomorrow.

Three free practice sessions will take place on Thursday, followed by qualifying and three races on Friday — bringing the entire weekend to a close in just two days.

After the summer break, the Caterham Motorsport Iberia season resumes at one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar. Two days of racing, plenty of elevation and very little room for error.

Speedy Motorsport selected for the inaugural Eurocup-5 season.

Speedy Motorsport has been selected as one of the eight founding teams of Eurocup-5, the new single-seater championship promoted by the Royal Spanish Motorsports Federation (RFEDA) and organised by EPIC Championships, marking another important milestone in the team’s continued growth.

Created as the natural step between karting and the F4 Spanish Championship, Eurocup-5 will provide young drivers aged 14 to 16 with a professional, competitive and accessible environment in which to begin their single-seater careers.

The inaugural season, scheduled for 2027, will feature five events across Spain and Portugal, including a visit to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão. Speedy Motorsport will field a four-car entry, becoming the only Portuguese team represented on the inaugural grid.

Pedro Salvador, CEO of Speedy Motorsport, welcomed the announcement:

”Being part of the launch of a project like Eurocup-5 is both a privilege and a responsibility. To be selected as one of the eight teams entrusted with helping shape the championship from its very first season is something we are immensely proud of.

For many years, I have believed in the importance of creating a structured pathway that allows young drivers to move into single-seaters at the right stage of their development. Eurocup-5 represents exactly that vision, and we are delighted to be part of it from the beginning.

We know the responsibility that comes with this opportunity and the level of commitment it demands. As we have done throughout our journey, we will approach this challenge with dedication, professionalism and the ambition to continue establishing Speedy Motorsport at the highest level of the sport.

I would also like to thank EPIC Championships for the confidence they have placed in us. We will do everything within our reach to honour that trust and prove worthy of this opportunity.”

Preparations for the championship are already underway as Speedy Motorsport begins work towards its Eurocup-5 debut in 2027.

Misano delivered another chapter in a season that continues to challenge, reward and teach us in equal measure.

From the first laps on Friday to the chequered flag on Sunday, every session added something to take forward. Strong teamwork, valuable points and another weekend that showed the determination of everyone involved.

Now it’s time for a short summer break before the GT4 European Series returns at Zandvoort.
