“Lowest Price EV Hatchback Launched in Pakistan”
A Chinese brand Gugu Motors has introduced GUGU GIGI EV hatchback in the local market. It’s a 2 door car equipped with all modern features like projected bumpers, brake lights, a reverse lamp, parking sensor, 13-inch wheels. The car is best suited for 2 adults and kids as rear space is compromised. Having a 7-inch information cluster panel showing driving range, AC controls, tire pressure monitoring system, reverse camera, Bluetooth connectivity, parking sensor and battery charging status. Other features include cruise control, speed limiter, with audio buttons, ABS, traction control, ABD, and all-wheel disc brake.
It is equipped with a 16.8 KWh battery having a driving range of 220 Km, gets full charged in 6 hours with a top speed of 80 km at normal mode and 110 km in sport mode. The driving range is 130km with Ac and 160km without Ac.

Our verdict:
The charging time is way to much, the fastest commercial charger takes a minimum time of 45mins to hour (full charge). If electric cars increase we don’t have that much commercial chargers, also expensive spare parts and reliability factor along with long hours of charging in this intense heat will compel buyers from buying electric cars. This car is a good edition as it’s the most lowest in price but it could have been more practical if the company have launched a 4-door electric hatchback more practical and larger in size in the same price bracket. The Companies should think before launching these electric cars and should give a authentic reason to buy. Having limited Ev resources in Pakistan with less dealerships will only result in poor sales.
