In Cuore car (manufactured by Daihatsu), the engine belt ,commonly referred to as the serpentine belt or drive belt, plays a crucial role in powering various engine components. The primary functions of the belt in a Daihatsu Cuore engine include:1. Driving the Alternator - The belt transfers power from the engine crankshaft to the alternator, which charges the battery and powers electrical systems.2. Powering the Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - If the car has air conditioning, the belt drives the A/C compressor, enabling cooling functionality.3. Running the Power Steering Pump (if equipped) - In some models, the belt drives the power steering pump, assisting in smoother steering.4. Operating the Water Pump - In certain engine designs, the belt helps circulate coolant by driving the water pump, preventing engine overheating.Types of Belts in Cuore Engines:-V-Belt (Older Models) – Used for individual components like the alternator. - Serpentine Belt (Newer Models)– A single, multi-ribbed belt that drives multiple accessories. Symptoms of a Failing Belt:Squealing noise(loose or worn belt) Cracking or fraying on the belt surface Accessories not working(e.g., battery not charging, A/C failure) Engine overheating (if the water pump is belt-driven) Maintenance Tip:Regularly inspect the belt for wear and replace it every 60,000–100,000 km(or as per the manufacturer's recommendation) to avoid sudden failure.

1. Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor: Measures the amount of air entering the engine. This information is crucial for the engine computer to determine the correct amount of fuel needed for proper combustion.

2. Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor: Detects the temperature of the air entering the engine. Colder air is denser, so the engine computer uses this information to adjust the air-fuel mixture for optimal performance.

3. Throttle Position Sensor (TPS): Tracks the position of the throttle pedal (how far it's pressed down). This tells the engine computer how much power the driver demands, allowing it to control engine speed (RPMs).

4. Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve: Regulates the engine's idle speed. It controls the amount of air bypassing the throttle valve to maintain a smooth and consistent idle RPM when the driver isn't pressing the gas pedal.

5. Cam position sensor :The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) is an electronic component used in an internal combustion engine to monitor the rotational speed (RPM) and position of the camshaft. The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses this information for spark timing, fuel injector control, and other engine parameters.

6. ECT sensor :An engine coolant temperature sensor measures the temperature of your engine coolant, in order to tell the engine fuel unit (ECU) when to adjust the fuel injection and ignition timing. It also start radiator fan after certain temperature of engine coolant .
