Celebrating 10 Years & the Little Stories of How We Got Here

As the daughter behind QuickShine Washing, I grew up around family businesses, but honestly, I never really understood what it was like to run one. I just knew it was what my parents did every single day.
I thought businesses just… worked. Customers came, sales happened, then you went home. It sounded so simple.
It wasn’t until life happened and I found myself helping manage our family businesses that I realized there was a whole side that people don’t always see.
People often say, “Mag-business para di na magtrabaho.” But based on experience, that’s not exactly how it works 😅
Business owners don’t really clock out. You carry it with you every day, thinking about employees, customers, bills, taxes, supplies, repairs, and many more things just to make sure everything continues to run smoothly.
You serve the customers, you take care of your employees, and you make countless decisions behind the scenes. It’s a responsibility that never really clocks out.
Before QuickShine, Mama used to run a dress shop named A to Z Fashion & Events (now Atelier Vincci). Right beside it was a car wash owned by our landlord. After Mama’s passing, he decided to retire and offered the car wash business to Papa and our cousin. They became business partners and took a leap of faith.
Now, here we are… 10 years later.
As business owners, we know we’re not alone. Many businesses in the Philippines are facing difficult times, and we understand how challenging it can be. hoping and praying for better days ahead, a stronger economy, and brighter years for all of us Filipinos.
Here’s a little throwback to our business journey. The milestones, the challenges, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way. It hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve come a long way. Malayo na, pero malayo pa.”
