Project Complete ✅
Revision Zero has successfully delivered the detailing package for the BlueScope Waste Gas Heat Recovery (WGHR) Ducting project. 🏗️🚧

‼️Take a closer look at the 3D model video below to see the scale and detail of this project for yourself. 📽️⬇️‼️

This project was completed as part of the Blast Furnace Reline Project at BlueScope Steel's Port Kembla Steelworks in New South Wales, Australia. It involved the steel detailing of industrial ducting and associated steel components forming part of the plant's Waste Gas Heat Recovery system. The project supported the routing and management of process gases within the existing steel manufacturing facility, contributing to improved efficiency and reliability of the plant's heat recovery operations.

The project comprised multiple ducting systems and associated steel components requiring accurate detailing and coordination to suit the complex industrial environment. The Blast Furnace Gas Ducting was designed to convey blast furnace gas generated during the ironmaking process between key process areas, enabling controlled gas transfer within the plant system. The Waste Gas Ducting facilitated the movement of high-temperature exhaust gases through the heat recovery process, allowing thermal energy to be captured and utilized. The Combustion Air Ducting provided the required airflow for combustion processes, supporting efficient operation of the plant equipment.
In addition to the primary ductwork, the scope included saddles, vertical supports, and control valve replacement assemblies, requiring detailed coordination to accurately represent the complete steelwork package and its interfaces with the existing infrastructure.

Revision Zero's scope of work included detailed 3D steel plate modelling, fabrication drawings, and construction documentation for approximately 600 tonnes of steel ducting, and miscellaneous supports. The project-specific detailing scope included:

Inclusions:
📌 Blast Furnace Gas Ducting
📌 Combustion Air Ducting
📌 Waste Gas Ducting

The completed detailing package provided fabricators and construction teams with accurate, coordinated information necessary for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of the ducting systems and associated steel components.
Revision Zero is proud to have contributed to the successful delivery of the BlueScope Waste Gas Heat Recovery (WGHR) Ducting project, demonstrating the company's commitment to engineering excellence, precision, and high-quality structural steel detailing for complex industrial facilities.

National Heroes Day – Philippines

Revision Zero will be closed on Monday, 31 August, as our Philippines team observes National Heroes Day (Araw ng mga Bayani).

National Heroes Day is an opportunity to remember and honour the courage and sacrifices of the many Filipinos who contributed to the country’s freedom, independence and development — not only the well-known national heroes, but also the countless individuals whose contributions helped shape the Philippines.

It’s an important day of remembrance and national pride, and an opportunity to reflect on the values of courage, service and unity.

Our Philippines operations will resume as normal on Tuesday, 1 September.

We wish our team, their families, our clients and everyone celebrating a meaningful National Heroes Day. 🇵🇭

Friday, 21 August, is Ninoy Aquino Day in the Philippines, a Special Non-Working Holiday commemorating the life and legacy of Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.

The day marks the anniversary of his assassination on 21 August 1983, upon his return to the Philippines after several years in exile. His death became a significant moment in Philippine history and helped galvanise the movement that ultimately led to the People Power Revolution in 1986 and the restoration of democratic institutions.

While we recognise and respect the significance of this day, Revision Zero will remain fully operational on 21 August, with our Manila team working as normal.

For our clients and partners, it will be business as usual — our project teams will remain available, detailing and production will continue, and scheduled project commitments will proceed as planned.

We also thank our Revision Zero team for their commitment and support in working through the holiday.

🇵🇭 We acknowledge Ninoy Aquino Day and its place in Philippine history while continuing to support our clients and projects around the world.

Another successfully completed project by the Revision Zero team — Thornlie–Cockburn Link Main Drain Crossings, forming part of Perth’s METRONET Thornlie–Cockburn Link in Western Australia.

Revision Zero provided the structural steel detailing, fabrication drawings and construction models for the access and support steelwork associated with the main drain crossing structures along the new rail corridor.

Our scope included approximately:
• 5.30 tonnes of structural steel
• 28.31 linear metres of handrails
• 30.2 m² of grating

The detailing package covered UC support beams, Webforge landings and grating, fabricated trash racks, Webforge handrails and gates, stair stringers and stair supports.

While relatively modest in tonnage, projects such as this demand the same attention to coordination, constructability and detailing accuracy as much larger structures. Every connection and interface needs to be clearly resolved to support efficient fabrication and installation.

We’re proud to have contributed to another important piece of Western Australia’s transport infrastructure and to the wider METRONET Thornlie–Cockburn Link project.

Well done to everyone involved.

🎓 Revision Zero is proud to celebrate our latest graduate – Janess Masion!

Last week, Janess graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, an achievement that marks the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
Janess is the third student Revision Zero has supported through their college education all the way to graduation. Our support goes beyond financial assistance. We believe strongly in giving students the opportunity to gain meaningful, practical industry experience alongside their studies.

Over the past five years, Janess has spent her school holidays undertaking work experience with Revision Zero, gaining valuable exposure to the industry and becoming part of our team long before graduation. Now, with her degree completed, we are delighted to welcome Janess to Revision Zero full-time as one of our Construction Modelers.

We are incredibly proud of what Janess has achieved. This isn't the end of her journey with Revision Zero — it's the beginning of an exciting new chapter. We look forward to continuing to support her development, helping shape her career, and watching her grow as a professional in the construction and engineering industry.

Congratulations, Janess! We are all very proud of you. 👏🎓

🎥 Enjoy this short video celebrating Janess and her graduation — a very proud moment for Janess, her family, and everyone at Revision Zero.
