Thursday at Keen As had the range.

Moped needing air, tractor tyre with a massive hole, 2 new tyres on an ambulance, and Daisy tucked up in Shaun’s office feeling sorry for herself after her immunisations, Bluey doing the heavy lifting.

Some days are smooth, some days are chaos, and some days the job list and real life list crash into each other.

Tyres sorted. Child nested. Bluey deployed.

Thursday. The day that had a bit of everything.

A moped with not nearly enough air, a tractor tyre with a hole big enough to make Shaun’s eye twitch, 2 new tyres on an ambulance, and one small child feeling very sorry for herself after her 4 year old immunisations, tucked up in a nest in Shaun’s office watching Bluey.

Just your average Keen As day really.

From little tyres to big tyres, emergency vehicles to farm gear, planned jobs to “well that escalated quickly” moments, we do our best to keep things rolling while juggling real life in the background too.

Some days are smooth, some days are pure chaos, and some days the job list, the real life list, and the “what on earth now?” list all collide.

But we made it through. Tyres sorted, child nested, Bluey deployed. Keen As always.

Why choose Keen As Tyres?

Apparently, a few of you would rather support a local family than help some faceless bloke buy his next holiday home.

And honestly? We’ll take that.

This week at Keen As

Yesterday we said farewell to one of Shaun’s long-time customers, and I finally got to put some faces to names. I just wish it had been under better circumstances.

Today we helped a few people out with punctures, which does make us wonder... who is out there leaving nails and screws all over the place?

Tomorrow is already looking busy with a few jobs booked in, plus quotes to sort and tyres to price.

Looking ahead, we still need to head up to Twizel at some point this week. We’d really like to secure a few more jobs up that way, or anywhere along the way, to make the trip worthwhile. So if you’ve got something that needs sorted, no matter how small, flick us a message.

Punctures, rotations, fleet checks, truck tyres, tractor tyres, passenger tyres, vulcanising, or those “we should probably get that looked at” jobs.

The rest of the week will sort itself out as we go. It usually does around here.

Rotation day, which means we've done just over 20000km since we put these Nexen All Terrain tyres on last year. I couldn't be happier with them, they give great traction and wear well. I also decided I needed a change of valve caps so out with the Daisies and changed to this green that matches my rims. We do have a small selection of new valve caps available for purchase in the workshop

Bit of breathing space between busy seasons?
