A massive shoutout to the best fans in the world! 🏎️💨

The atmosphere at both Taupō and Ruapuna was absolutely electric, and the Blue Oval support didn’t go unnoticed. Matt Payne has a special message for everyone who braved the weather, filled the stands, and cheered on the Mustang. 🇳🇿

I’ve been lucky to explore much of Aotearoa but showing Mum & Dad around Northland hit different ❤️

We packed Ford Everest Platinum and headed north in comfort with space and plenty of kilometres ahead of us. It’s a region that’s always meant a lot to me. The stories, the culture, the history — it’s beautifully powerful.

From walking among the giants Tāne Mahuta and Te Matua Ngāhere with Footprints Waipoua Hokiangaexperiencing the storytelling at Manea Footprints of Kupe exploring the Bay of Islands with The Rock Adventure Cruise standing on the grounds of Waitangi Treaty Groundsand of course a run down 90 Mile Beach.

But what made this trip special was the family time together. The kind you don’t get enough of.

Massive thanks to Ford Motor Companyfor making the journey just as epic as the destinations.

We like the sound of that headline!

Whilst Ford Racing is now back on the track, partnering with Red Bull Racing in the Formula 1 series, that’s not the only arena where we compete with the world’s best car makers.

Ford’s talented engineers have also been winning on the world stage for years and years. A great example of their talents is the Ford 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine, now featured in the All-New-Ford Transit Courier compact van.

Launched in 2012, the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder Ecoboost engine was awarded Best New Engine and overall International Engine of the Year for 2012. And 2013. And again in 2014!

At the time of it’s “3-in-a-row” win, the 1.0-litre Ecoboost finished 70 points clear of its closest competitor, Ferrari’s high-performance F136 4.5-litre V8.

The awards chairperson described the Ford engine as, “…a fantastic testament to how down-sizing and greater fuel efficiency needn’t mean sacrifice in other areas like power, refinement and drivability, and can even help enhance these elements.”

This fuel-efficient, little engine that really can kept winning. Best sub-one-litre engine from 2012 through 2017. And best sub-150PS engine in 2019.
