Been a busy couple of days finishing work on Graeme Hill’s jet sprint boat. This install uses a Race Wired ECU adapter, allowing a Maxxecu to integrate directly with the existing wiring harness. The setup includes a wide range of sensors, so a fair bit of time went into reorganising the CAN bus to ensure the Maxxecu, MoTeC dash, and Life Racing PDU communicate correctly.
Just a few minor jobs left before it’s ready for water testing.

A couple of fresh PCBs fresh off the bench and ready for programming!
First up, a 4-Channel CAN Gateway whose main job will be decoding AiM data and sending it to a MoTeC C125.
The second is a compact CAN Node, destined for the inside of a steering wheel to unlock some extra functionality.

A recent loom for a classic Vauxhall Viva GT race car. The loom here also received the first Race Wired GCU: Gauge control unit. The GCU enabled full control of a cluster of analog gauges: A more modern temperature sensor was used and the fuel gauge was re-scaled for different sender unit. It also handled the engine fan control and the electric fuel pump was primed and triggered from the ignition coil to prevent flooding of the twin Dell'Orto carbs. Looking forward to see the car hit the track later in the year.
