King of The Arena night 1👑

This night was one way to round out our season💥!

Race 1 we started grid 21 and were moving up well but after getting caught up in a bit of tangle up with the 88v car we popped the left front tyre but still continued on bringing it home 24th
Race 2 took a turn for the worse, off the bat we had good pace starting 5th, during lap 1 we were closing in on the lead car in turn 3… and well as you can see from the photos we clocked out early…

Saturday morning we unloaded the car ready for a damage report in the daylight - After inspection we found a number of issues with the car… with that we decided to call it a season and get underway with the rebuild!

Thanks to everyone for the help after and everyone who checked in! Liam’s all okay just the car that’s a bit worse for wear… lucky we have an off season starting now

Team write up from last night! 👊🔥

Mixed bag last night when it came to results showing the true roller coaster that Teams Racing is!

Race 1 we just didn't seem to get going. The Young Guns caught us napping and came out the gate flying along with some brilliant blocking! Down one car due to a roll and flat tires hindering pace in the later stages but the Young Guns had full control for the duration.
This also gave the Young Guns the Hutt Park Challenge Cup once again.
Pumas - 55
Young Guns - 140

Race 2 was much better and we got one of those 1/100 starts where everything went to plan. Controlling a nice 1-2-4 knowing we had to nail down solid points for the overall trophy but we all know races and rolls have to change. Great race reading from our second placed car slowing up to hold the Young Guns lead car enough to allow our man on debut Liam Metcalfe to carry on a solid lead. A very late momentum swing was swiftly taken control of by our blockers and Liam took the flag for the team!

A bit to debrief on. Plenty of learnings to take away and work on as well.
This was our last hit out before the big one, New Zealand Stockcar Teams Champs in Rotorua, 6th & 7th March.

Thanks to Wellington Family Speedway for hosting us and the Wellington Young Guns Stockcar Team for a couple of great Teams Races. It's been over due to enjoy a night of Teams in Welly!

Catch us at Wellington Family Speedway this weekend with a possible debut for the Palmerston North Pumas👊

We're back in action this Saturday night at the Wellington Family Speedway to take on long time rivals the Wellington Young Guns Stockcar Team

The Hutt Park Cup is on the line in race one and overall points from both races take the Tri Trophy for the nights racing.

Amongst it all we welcome 226p Liam Metcalfe into the mix who could potentially make his Pumas debut when he lines up.

This is our last hit out before the NZ Teams Champs in Rotorua in March so the lads are looking to make it count.

Racing kicks off 6pm and Wellington have the awesome Bike the Track so if you're bringing the kids bring their bikes too!

Wet and muddy was the only way to describe our Saturday night❄️💨☔️🌤️🌦️

Race 1 - Late 20s to 18th
Race 2 - 9th to 5th
Race 3 - DNS

The weather really played a big game this weekend! It couldn’t make up its mind. Rain, dry, windy, hot or cold!
Race 1 had a quick start due to a change in program, hence the unsure start grid! But we managed well with track conditions! Race 2 the track had come back a bit and we had some good battles with other club mates! During this race a vibration in the rear was noticed and turned out to be a damaged axle, playing it safe we loaded up and continued to watch.

🗓️- Currently we are unsure when our next meeting on track is!
