🚧 Coast Rd bridge repairs – Pongaroa - DONE 👷‍♂️

Thanks to the Pongaroa and Ākitio communities for their patience while we closed Coast Road Tuesday night at bridge A-057, 8km from Pongaroa, for essential bridge repairs. The road was closed at 7pm and reopened at 2am – four hours ahead of schedule ⏱️ after a precast concrete slab had been laid to strengthen the approach to the bridge.

Hard-hats off 🎩 to the Tararua Alliance civil crew, local contractors Morris & Bailey, and Tararua Traffic Management Services for a great job 👏
