American & Aussie Specialists Dismantlers specialises in second hand parts for Holden, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Camaros, Corvette’s etc.
We are searching for an all-rounder with knowledge of mainly Ford and Holden with some knowledge of American vehicles.
Based in Hornby, the position is sales focused, being the first point of contact for customers.
Daily responsibilities will include
• Assist customers with part enquiries–phone, email & in person
• Prepare and send invoices
• Online quoting for insurance jobs
• Liaising with the dismantling crew for parts required
• Manage stock to ensure it is dispatched to meet deadlines
• Listing items for sale and maintaining trade me
The successful candidate will ideally have previous automotive industry knowledge, be reliable, hardworking, work well under pressure with accuracy and work well within a tight knit team.
Often being in the shop alone, you must be motivated and confident with car part enquiries and have a sound understanding to be able to locate the parts needed and offer any advice.
You will be responsible for prioritising walk-in customers and phone calls and ensuring queries are responded to in an appropriate timeframe.
When not assisting customers instore or on the phone/email, the priority will be ensuring all jobs are quoted out for insurance requests.
This involves ensuring the parts that are being quoted are available and of good standard, with a good knowledge of market value of parts.
This role is 8 hours daily from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday (40 hour week) with occasional Saturdays available (8.30am to 12.30pm).
You will need to be able to answer emails via Microsoft outlook, be familiar with trade me, invoicing on Xero and be able to use a Eftpos machine.
We don’t expect you to be able to tick all the boxes for everything required, however as long as you are motivated to learn, full training will be provided.
A current forklift licence is an advantage
