We just discovered that YouTube made some pathetic changes without asking us on our channel which does impact our content and the way we operate.
1. YouTube translated our videos to many other languages which explains increase of spam messages from the 3-rd world countries. We are tired of blocking them as we do not provide services to Pakistan, India, Trinidad, Caribbean, Africa, etc. NO English - NO service. Simple as.
2. YouTube added Automatic Subtitles (Captions) to all our videos which are blocking important information on the screen. We know that those who use YouTube App could disable those captions, but there is no way to disable them on YouTube Web, hence - it is a nuisance.
3. One would expect YouTube studio would allow to "bulk disable" all those captions and translations, but NO, no such option.
Hence we are now going through all our 90 videos and manually deleting those unwanted Automatic Subtitles and translations to unwanted languages, one by one.
Want your Instrument Cluster translated to any other language? Do it yourself. We are not interested and we will not teach you how to.

Some need to be educated about appropriatness of one common phrase they use when asking us about fixing their (not ours) problem and expecting us to be intetested in discussing it ..
When you visit your dentist, sure you'd never ask them: "So you can't do colonoscopy?"
Let us explain the difference:
1. "You cannot do it?" (Ability) When you use this phrase (especially with rising intonation as a question), you are usually reacting to the fact that someone is unable to perform a task. Meaning: "Are you telling me that you lack the skill to do this?" Grammar Note: In standard English, this is more naturally phrased as a negative question: "Can you not do it?" or "Can't you do it?" Usage: when you are shocked or disappointed that a task is too difficult for someone.
FYI: there are things we are able to do, have skills and tools, BUT won't do, simply because it is not interesting, time consuming or, based on experience you would never be able to pay for it what it worth, hence of no interest for us. Don't you ever use this phrase with us. The actual fact, that you did not look up the list of the services we offer on our YouTube channel means: you value your time, but disrespect other's.
Permanent ban as a timewaster.
2. "Would you do it?" (Willingness or Hypotheticals) This phrase looks forward to a possibility. It asks if someone is open to doing something if the opportunity arises. Meaning: "Are you willing to do this?" When to use it: Use this when you are willing to dismantle your Instrument Cluster, make photos of the chips inside, invest $$ into buying spare instrument cluster (we can arrange that) for R&D and agree on the fact that solution may not be developed or cluster could be damaged in the process.
Time is priceless.
P.S. 5 timewasters banned just in 24 hours, wasting on average from 5 to 15 minutes of our time.

This small device is called "encoder". It is what you rotate to change the brightness of the instrument cluster (speedometer) back light & you push it to swap between the total odometer reading and the "trip" reading. This one has failed and "push" functionality did not work. We've unsoldered the failed one and replaced it with the donor from another dead cluster.

Reminder: we are not a charity, we do not have time for free consultations, especially non-related to services we prowide.
We limit our international services to Australia, UK, Ireland, Japan, Canada & USA. The rest proved time and again to be timewasters - i.e. expecting high-tech services to be provided for free or for peanuts.
Also - we do not need a middle-man, hence all requests to "represent" us or to "resell our services" are ignored.

We had invested dozens of thousands of $$ NZD into Instrument Clusters, into various specialized gear and had invested years of our time into research and development of various high-tech solutions, and we continue doing so - investing and developing.
Every week we are getting messages from overseas beggars, mostly India, Pakistan, Cyprus, Kenya, Trinidad, etc asking to send them files or teach them how-to for free, of course. Obvious for us: IQ = 0, level of stupidity and impudence is 10 out of 10. Immediate ban. The second type of enquiries - calling and asking us about things we do not do, and when politely advising we don't - they are going bananas and even start swearing. Immediate ban.
The third kind of timewasters are as follows: - they want solution which might be possible, but they do not want to move a finger to help themselves - e.g. take Instrument Cluster out (5 min), make a photo of the part number at the back (5 sec), dismantle it & take photos of the chips inside (10 min). Some even "agreed" and "promised" to do so, but never did. Broken promise = lie. Immediate ban.
The fourth type: they called, we discussed the deal, they agreed, we have sent invoice - they disappeared.
The fifth type - likely were conceived at the flea market, hence a constant itch for bargaining, asking for "best price", sometimes imagining they have 1000 friends with the same car and they will give us "a lot of work", or saying they are a car dealer and asking for a "special car dealer price"... Busines acumen of such "dealers" is zero. Any "special" treatment is never a given and has to be earned.
Our reaction to all the above: immediate and permanent ban.
For every 100 time-wasters there is one genuine client who deserves our time.
Time is the most precious and non-renewable resource in life.
No money can buy an extra minute of your life time.
When we provide our services - its a huge favour, which comes with a price tag.
We can stop doing it at any time and it will not impact us financially even a bit. Many don't get it.

NZ Post constantly harasses us to use smarphone app and fill in the customs form electronically. We brought $$$ tens of thousands to them in International postage fees last year. Would we use their app? Never! Takes 1 min to fill in the paper one. We keep paper slip copy and do not have to have Internet Data, nor Printer to serve THEIR agenda. Was in a queue the other day while NZ Post worker was helping young lady to fill in her form on the smartphone app for about 15 minutes!!!! Took her to process mine - 1 min. P.S. the only thing is to make sure they attach customs form to the box. The other day - they forgot and the parcel was bounced back by customs in UK. And whats worse - NZ Post scanners they use over the counter to photocopy the paper form - work only 1 time out if 10!!!
So, fix that technology first!

We developed new device: "Warnings Blocker". Intended to block TPMS warnings (and other types if need be) on the Instrument Cluster. Lexus, Toyota, Nissan, Suzuki. Plugs between speedometer as an interconnect harness. No cutting, splitting or soldering. Thats will only work on models with CAN Bus enabled speedometers. FYI Older Lexus models e.g. 2008 IS series do not have CAN Bus there.
Volunteers in Auckland (with permanent warnings ON) are welcome to test.
