The Central Districts Jet Boat Club will be holding an event on Manawatu River, showcasing jet boats, followed by a dinner in the evening. The Manawatu River goes along the edge of the city following a popular walkway/cycleway and we are aiming to put on a great show for the public.
The event will be at Panerai Park in Palmerston North
We would love to have 50 boats taking part in the event to celebrate the 50 year milestone
Followed by a dinner at Awapnui Racecourse at the silks Lounge
$60 per head

Jet Sprinting starting in the Manawatu River 40 years ago and Sunday will be the day to celebrate this anniversary.
A jet Sprint course will be set on the river, like how it was done back in the day.
We will put on a show starting with family boats. Followed by some early jet sprint boats, through to the current jet sprint boat. To highlight the changes in Jetsprinting over the years.
We are going to have a static show of jet boats so if you have one in shed that you would like to bring
Whether it goes on not, please bring it along
The event is going to be open to the public so the more boats we have on site the better.
The night will finish with a BBQ meal, drinks and some old style entertainment in a marquee at the river
