This Irish DAF XG+ was recently back in the Netherlands. Verspui Trucks, a paint shop, and Noah's Cabinterior B.V. once again did a magnificent job to customize this XG+! These (and other special DAFs) can be seen at Drifterstyle coming weekend (October 10 and 11)!

* : The heart of the Australian 𝗗𝗔𝗙 𝗫𝗚/𝗫𝗚+ 𝟲𝟲𝟬 𝗙𝗧𝗧 is the Paccar PX15 engine. This is a modified, renewed design and "PACCAR-ised" diesel engine based on the 15 litre Cummins X15 engine. The PX-15 was developed by PACCAR, DAF and Cummins but will be sourced from Columbus, Indiana.

The PX-15 is 225 kg lighter and more economical than the X-15. Engineered for the DAF XG and XG+ in Australia, the PACCAR PX-15 is an automotive masterwork. The new generation engine platform features a sculpted, ladder frame style block, significantly increasing the performance levels possible from a 15-litre engine.

The lineup still includes trucks from both brands competing in similar weight classes. Many Leyland trucks were rebranded as "Leyland DAF," receiving DAF-style grilles and new model designations.

The other photo dates from the late 1990s. By this time, Leyland Trucks had unfortunately gone bankrupt (in 1993) and had initially relaunched under management independent of DAF; however, it was subsequently acquired by DAF’s parent company, PACCAR, in 1996—a partnership that continues to this day in the production of DAF trucks. During this period, DAF’s entire product range underwent significant modernization. This included the introduction of the DAF 65/75/85 series (and their subsequent updates to the 65CF/75CF/85CF), the upgrade of the 95 to the 95XF, and the launch of the light-duty DAF 45/55 series—trucks that featured further-developed designs and cabs originally derived from the Leyland Roadrunner.
