🏁 Red Bull Romaniacs 2026 Finisher! 🏁
They call it the toughest hard enduro race in the world… and now I know exactly why.
What an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. I trained as hard as I possibly could, and even then it still felt like it wasn’t enough. Thankfully, all those months of training paid off when it came to stamina.
The nerves before the event, the long drive to Romania, the stress, the uncertainty… but also the incredible people I met, new friendships, amazing scenery, and an atmosphere I’ll never forget.
Looking back now, if I had known what was waiting for me out there, I honestly don’t think I would have lined up at the start. 😅
But somehow… I made it.
I’M A RED BULL ROMANIACS 2026 FINISHER! 💪
Adventure Lite? You can honestly leave the “Lite” out of the name. There was nothing light about it. I rode sections that I never imagined I would be capable of riding. I’d say at least 80% of the event was far outside my comfort zone.
It feels like I gained +100,000 XP in riding skill in just a few days.
Despite a few crashes and plenty of moments where I questioned what I was doing, I made it through every day and crossed that finish line with both the bike and myself still in one piece. My safe was definitely my fellow CFMoto 450MT Team member from Canada; Cynthia Prefontaine. We teamed up and rode a few sections of the last 3 days. Which brought the smile back, had a nice chat along the way, helping each other picking up bikes. As this is not only physically an attack to your body. But Mentally it is killing as well.
And I am not even talking about the F* Mine we had to do!
It is really hard to describe what we have done there, and how you feel. Note that this was my first race ever in my entire life. And I am only riding for 5 years offroad, In the Netherlands! Where everything is flat 😂
What an unforgettable experience.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t record any footage during the race, as filming by competitors isn’t allowed unless granted permission. If you’d like to see what the Adventure classes are really like, I highly recommend watching on YouTube. He did an incredible job covering the Adventure classes and captured exactly what we experienced out there.
Thank you to everyone who supported me before and during this adventure, To my sponsors who helped me building this bike, New riding clothes and spare parts. This is a memory I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. ✅
