Some months ago, a man rushed into the workshop looking stressed.

He said, “Oga, my car just dey delay small when I put gear.”

I asked him how long it has been doing that.
He smiled and said, “About three months now… I dey manage am.”

My people, that small delay later turned into a full gearbox repair 😩💔

And the bill? That one almost gave him high blood pressure.

Here’s why transmission repairs cost plenty money 👇🏽

• Many internal parts are involved. Once one fails, others follow fast.

• Labour requires real expertise. Gearbox no be plug-and-play job.

So your AC used to chill like winter in Canada but now it’s blowing Abuja breeze 😅
Relax, my guy. It might not be a gas problem at all.

Before you waste money on refilling, check these things first 👇🏾

1️⃣ Check the cabin filter
That small filter under your dashboard might be blocked with dust. When it’s dirty, cool air cannot pass well.
👉🏾 Solution: Clean or replace it. Cheap and fast fix.

2️⃣ Check the fan or blower
If the fan is weak or dirty, it will only blow soft breeze no matter how cold the system is.
👉🏾 Solution: Let your electrician service the blower motor.

3️⃣ Inspect the condenser and radiator area
If the front area is blocked with dirt, leaves or nylon, your AC will lose cooling power.
👉🏾 Solution: Gently wash the front area with water and air pressure.

4️⃣ Check the compressor belt
A loose or worn belt will not spin the compressor properly. That’s why you get half cool, half heat feeling 🥵
👉🏾 Solution: Tighten or replace the belt.

5️⃣ Check your engine temperature
If your engine is slightly overheating, the AC will reduce cooling to protect the engine.

💡 Moral of the story
Sometimes it’s not a gas problem, it’s a maintenance problem.
Don’t let roadside AC refill guys collect your money for nothing. You fit refill and e still no go cool 😎

1️⃣ Check the paint job. If you notice different shades of paint or body panels not lining up well, repaint has happened.

2️⃣ Inspect the doors and bonnet bolts. Fresh paint on bolts or scratched screws usually means bodywork was done.

3️⃣ Look under the car. Any bent, cut, or welded part underneath is a serious red flag 🚩

Sometimes, those warning symbols just want your attention, not your money 💡 Before you rush to a mechanic, try these simple checks first 👇

1️⃣ Check your engine oil and coolant
Low fluids are one of the most common reasons dashboard lights come on. A quick check can save you stress and cash.

2️⃣ Tighten your fuel cap
Yes, that small thing can trigger a check engine light 😬
The fuel cap is inside that small door at the back of the driver’s side where you buy fuel ⛽️. If it’s loose, your car will complain.

3️⃣ Restart your car
Sometimes it’s just a sensor glitch. Just like your phone or computer, a restart can fix small issues or make the real problem clearer.

4️⃣ Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes
Only do this if you know what you’re doing. It helps reset the system, just like a factory reset on your phone 📱.

Let me talk to you as someone that has been embarrassed by a dead battery before.

Your car battery is not only for starting the car. It’s the heart of all the electrical things in your vehicle.

This is what your battery does every day 👇
