P0560 and P0562 Generic DTC Codes

P0560 is talking about System Voltage too High

P0562 is talking about System Voltage too Low

It's a critical electrical issue that needs to be fixed asap

Take this P0560 and P0562 as issues with your house wiring

What happens when the voltage is too high?
Does it burn the bulbs and fry your electronic gadgets?

How about when the voltage is too low?
Does it effectively carry your electronic gadgets without frying them?

Same thing is applicable to your car

System too high means that the manufacturer's voltage threshold is above normal

Every car is 12 Volts rated, so when the PCM detects an unusual increase in voltage, it triggers the check engine or Malfunction light

This high voltage happens once the engine is turned on and can damage the fusebox, Wiring Harness and fry the ECM

It could be caused by using a higher fuse than normal, bad ECU fuse connection, overcharging alternator and overcharged battery

System too low means that the required voltage for your car is below threshold

Instead of 13.5 to 14.8V that should be supplied when engine is on, the voltage being supplied is way below the threshold

This issue can cause serious Malfunction to critical components of the car including the transmission, ABS, AC and Infortainment System

A bad positive battery terminal, bad battery, low charging alternator, corrosion and bad ground wires too

Most of the times, a malfunctioning battery regulator or ECM could be the cause

When you diagnose your car and see P0560 and P0562, it's best to follow the above guidelines to fix the issue before it cause critical damage to your car

ADVANCED REVERSE CAMERA AND DASH-CAM

Reverse Camera is one of the earliest ADAS systems in older cars

It was developed to help drivers monitor their back or behind their cars while reversing

Most cars, mainly full options and Xtra Limited Editions comes equipped with reverse cameras

Situated at the rear of your car, or under the plate number compartment on the bumper or hood

In New modern cars, the reverse cameras are advanced and works simultaneously with the back collision sensor and dash cam

For some new model cars like Mercedes Benz, the reverse camera is hidden inside the hood and only pops up when the car is on reverse

The Dash-cam on it's own is used to record the road and possibly the interior while driving, for security and proof of driving in case of accident or any driving issue

It is located on the front windscreen for clearer vision

We have two types of Reverse Camera and Dash-cam

Original Manufacturer Equipped and Aftermarket Installed Reverse and Dash-cam

Original Manufacturer Equipped Reverse Camera and Dash-cam has different functionality and shows clearer visions, very durable and can last the lifetime of the car

While Aftermarket reverse camera hardly works with other ADAS systems except if tuned, they're not durable and the visions are not clearer

Reverse Camera shows on the infortainment screen or on the Dash-cam screen on the windscreen

To enjoy the full functionality and durability of reverse camera, always go for full option cars

Dash-cam is peculiar to Korean cars, mostly installed by drivers for the purposes mentioned above

ADAS means Advanced Drivers Assistance Systems

It is designed in newer models of cars to assist the drivers through human-machine controlled actuators and sensors

In older models of cars, the Reverse Camera, Navigation and Side Mirrors were part of the ADAS systems in those old cars

But as technology is advancing, drivers assistance became more advanced and intelligent in newer models of cars

Imagine your car detecting that you're close to an Eatery or Coffee shop

And asking you if you will take some rest

In some cars, there are highly intelligent AI powered driver assistance sensors that detects when a driver is dizzy, tired or angry

The facial expressions of the driver, his driving behaviours, Speed, and lots of other things can make the driver assistance sensor to be at alert and take over driving from the driver

In few years to come, we will have almost all features in an Aeroplane in a car

For now, European Cars are leading in ADAS Systems in Cars

TURBO CHARGED ENGINES

Turbo Charged Engines are known for higher performance due to increased burning of air and fuel in the combustion chamber

Most engines are tuned with a device called TURBOCHARGER which compresses exhaust gas, draws external air and push them back to the engine cylinder with higher O2 density

Once the compressed air and exhaust gas is pushed into the cylinders, the ECM will push in more fuel for complete combustion

Thus increasing the engine power output

One of the advantages of turbo charger is that it increases the engine power output without altering the weight, displacement and technical design of the engine

Also, it is fuel efficient due to improved combustion at high and low altitudes, plus it reduces pollution

This reduction of pollution (Carbon Dioxide etc) is the reason why Toyota is discontinuing the popular 2GR-FE engine for 4 Plug Turbo Charged Engines

Turbo Charged Engines has lots of Cons that makes car enthusiasts to prefer naturally aspirated internal combustion engines than the turbo

High maintenance cost due to frequent oil change to avoid friction, overheating that affects the engine block, wiring, the turbo charger and makes the rubbers brittle, an intercooler is needed to reduce the heat but it's very expensive

The engine wears out easily due to more pressure and stress

Lastly, turbo lag is peculiar to turbo engines. Turbo lag is when the turbo doesn't build up enough pressure to power the engine when you press the throttle

If you must buy a Turbo Charged Engine, you need to frequently change the engine oil and oil filter, use an intercooler, watch out for oil leaks, don't drive with a fat foot and give your Turbo engine few minutes to cool off before turning off engine

Turbo Charged Engines = Heat + Friction
Remedy = Intercooler + Oil + Filter

A turbo Charged Engine is very expensive to maintain and it is not as durable and reliable as the Naturally Aspirated Internal Combustion Engines

Would you go for Turbo Charged Engines or Naturally Aspirated Engines?

My Posts are relatable to those who own cars not Motors

If your car isn't intelligent, my posts are not for you

Stop comparing the technology and electronic intelligence of a 2010 Lexus to your 2001/2 Toyota Camry

Same brand but different level of intelligence and luxury

ABS means nothing to a 2001/2 Toyota but it means alot to a 2008 up Lexus

VSC, VSA, ETCS means nothing to older cars but in newer cars, they mean alot

Older cars doesn't have ADAS systems, no dash-cam, no electronic instrument cluster, no front or back collision sensor etc

The intelligence of newer models of cars is never comparable to older cars

So stop arguing with me when I make posts about certain cars

Have you asked yourself why once the ABS warning light pops up on your dashboard, the brake light comes on too?

Or why your car speedometer stops working overtime due to faulty abs wheel speed sensor?

Or why the steering gets too hard once the ABS warning light pops on?

The fact that the check engine light on your car has been there even before your car was manufactured, does not mean it means nothing to the car

Stop comparing your car with every other car

Corolla isn't in the level with Lexus ES300

Camry 05 is a junior to ES300

Cars differs, and so are their technology and intelligence

Drive your car with all those warning lights in peace but stop arguing that it doesn't matter

There are car owners in Nigeria without any warning lights on their dashboard

Etc

If I were you, I wouldn't buy a car with all those warning lights showing on the dashboard

1️⃣ ABS
2️⃣ VSC
3️⃣ Check Engine
4️⃣ Trac Off
5️⃣ Brake Light
6️⃣ Transmission Light

And all other warning lights on the dashboard

Those lights don't just come on, they only come on when there's a malfunction either major or minor

The earlier you detect the root causes, the better for you

For the Check Engine Light, it could be pointing your attention to something serious but out of sheer ignorance, you would say it doesn't matter

Diagnosing the check engine light would help you know the type and intensity of the fault the car is having

You would know if it's a current fault, pending fault, history Fault or permanent fault

1️⃣ Current fault means it is the present issue with the car and it needs fixing

2️⃣ Pending Fault means the problem have been there for awhile, maybe there was an attempted effort to fix it but either it wasn't completely fixed or it needs Calibration or relearn so it's just there pending

3️⃣ History means the fault has always been there for long maybe since the first or second owner, the ECM has adjusted to function and run the engine like that even with the fault.

4️⃣ Permanent faults are mostly manufacturers fault or error. You see those cars that the manufacturer's recall because of one issue or the other

How would you know all these without full system diagnosis?

Even your mechanic with 500 years of experience won't know unless he runs diagnosis

So what's the essence of going to inspect a car with just your mechanic when he wouldn't know if the Camshaft Position Sensor and CPK needs relearning?

Or if the Camshaft Position Sensor is re****ed or over advanced

Would you be happy buying a car today only to pull out the engine from the car just to set timing chain?

I don't even want to talk about the ABS which is even more dangerous

Avoid buying cars with defective ABS, inactive Stability Control, bad Skid Control Module and defective Traction Control Assistant

Learn to diagnose cars before buying them, it will save you lots of issues ahead

BETWEEN Lexus ES300 and ES330 Review.

Both ES330 and ES300 belong to the 4th Generation of Lexus. (2002 to 2006)

1️⃣ Engine and Transmission System:

ES330 has the 3MZ 3.3L Displacement engine with 225 HP while ES300 has the 1MZ 3.0L Displacement Engine with 210 HP. Both use Timing Belt, Non Interference Engines and belongs to the family of engine. All sensors in ES300 and ES330 engines are in same location. Both uses Fully Synthetic 5W30 engine oil

ES330 has the original 13 PIN Gearbox while ES300 has the 13 PIN Wire Wire Gearbox. The gearbox is very sensitive to the ABS system.

ES330 is faster than ES300. Both uses Toyota T IV Gearbox Oil

2️⃣ Chassis Control Module

ES330 has a more intelligent steering Controls than ES300.

Both have same ABS module, wheel speed sensor and braking system. Same Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control and Skid Control Module

3️⃣ Entertainment

ES330 sound system is better compared to ES300.

4️⃣ Underline Network:

The wiring system is the same.

5️⃣ Fuel Economy

ES300 has a better fuel economy than ES330 albeit it's minimal.

6️⃣ Maintenance Cost

Both are moderate, using almost same parts and highly reliable. Diagnosis is highly recommended before fixing any faults.

7️⃣ Second Hand Value

ES300✅

8️⃣ Realiability

Both are very reliable but ES300 is stronger and more rugged

9️⃣ Safety and Security

ES330 had a better Theft Deterrent Security System than ES300. Both have same safety features.

📌 OBDII Intelligence

Both have same level of Intelligence but ES330 is slightly more intelligent in Live Data Analysis and Bi-directional Functions

📌 Rim Size

ES330 comes with 17" Rim while ES300 comes with 16".

📌 Interior

Same leather seats, heated seats and seat controls. ES330 has a better heated seats design

Different Bumper, Fog Lights, Back Lights and Reverse Lights.

MAF SENSOR✅

Every Combustion Engine relies on Air for Complete Combustion

Without enough air in the combustion chamber of your car engine, your engine would consume too much fuel, lose power, vibrate when you engage AC and gear and emit black smoke with soot

This is why MAF is a small but very important sensor in every combustion engine

DETECTING ENGINE MISFIRES.

The best way to detect and confirm misfires in your car is via Live Data Analysis

In most cases, your car may have intermittent misfires and the ECM may not record the Misfire to trigger the check engine light

So whenever you notice sluggish engine performance, loss of power, vibration and incomplete combustion

It's best to run full system diagnosis and read the live data to see the engine speed of all cylinders in your car

When one or two of the cylinders does not correlate with the engine speed output then the ignition system of that cylinder is bad

Check the pictures below, you would see how the cylinders in a Toyota 2GR-FE are firing

The engine speed in each cylinder is 51119.22 while the actual engine idling position is 639 RPM

In this case, this engine is performing optimally with all the cylinders firing perfectly
