Did you know?
There was a time when anyone could get behind the wheel and drive. No driving test, no learner's permit, no driver's license.
As cars became more common, so did accidents. People soon realised that driving wasn't just about knowing how to start a car. It was about understanding the rules of the road and keeping everyone safe.
When the driver's license was introduced, It became a proof that a driver had learned the basics and was ready to share the road responsibly.
Many in Abuja today see the driver's license as just another card to keep in their wallet. Lekki pipu, abi make I Loud am?
Your Driver's Licence says, "I understand that driving is a responsibility, not just a privilege."
The best drivers are not the fastest or the most confident. They're the ones who respect the road, obey traffic rules, and think about the safety of others.
So, the next time you take out your driver's license, remember it's more than a piece of plastic. It's a reminder that every journey comes with a responsibility.
Drive with care. Someone is waiting for you to arrive safely.
Now, give yourself a thumbs up 👍 if you're a Licenced Driver and responsible road user.
