PIOTR WIECEK REIGNS SUPREME IN RIGA ONCE AGAIN 🇱🇻
Round 5 of the 2025 Drift Masters season delivered the most chaotic weekend of the year so far, with huge crashes, early exits, and championship shake-ups lighting up Bikernieku Trase. But when the smoke finally cleared, it was Poland’s Piotr Wiecek who stood tallest, taking back-to-back wins and claiming another career victory in Riga to officially become King of Riga 👑
Facing him in the final was none other than James Deane 🇮🇪, who carved his way through the bracket with precision and calculated aggression we all expect from the Irish driver. But even James couldn’t stop the red-hot momentum of Wiecek, who was simply untouchable in the final.
The playoff for third was set for fireworks between Jack Shanahan and Latvian wildcard Nikolass Bertans, who was making his Drift Masters return with a brand new team 🇱🇻
But a big crash for Jack in the chase handed the podium to Nik, securing him a Drift Masters podium to mark his return to Drift Masters and also marking the first time this year that we've seen a wildcard on the podium. A moment to remember for the young gun, and possibly a sign of things to come for the Latvian driver 👀
Just two rounds remain and the title fight is wide open. Next stop: Iron Drift King in Ferropolis, Germany, where the battles continue under the lights at the penultimate round of the season 💥
