Many detailers came to me for a little advice before start business and Rainy season so I thought it'll be a benefit to share it with everyone.
1 - Planning
📅 Look at the calendar, draw out the festival dates, public and school holiday. Then promote your package 1-2 months earlier. A good example is Shopee... 1.1, 2.2, 3.3, payday-25... Etc
🤸Have a little fun .. Football/ badminton special, Singles day promo, valentine's, father's day... Etc...
Do you know when is your customers birthday? 🎂 Well, if u collect database, then please value the data. A simple wish, can make someone happy 🥳 We are in the service of selling Happiness 😀😀😀, not cars. Think carefully...
2 - Be the Weather man / bomoh hujan 🤣
💦 Forecast major rainy seasons. I know, you are not God, weather changes. In Malaysia, we can "roughly" forecast peak raining seasons.
Then,
A - offer rainy season packages
B - what are your staff going to do during Rain? Play games? No need complain, Die, Aiyo, Sei lor, Haihhh 😓 think about it. Also, don't overload them. Sometimes staff also need to rest.
The most frustrating thing is not being busy, but waiting... So don't wait for customers to walk-in. You need to find them.
3 - Visions / Goals setting
🎯 Post your calendar on a board / table so you can look at it every day. Have a White board, draw up at least 3 months dates so you can fill in and visualise your jobs and income for that Quarter.
Share it with your staff so they can work with you to get there.
If p&c then don't let customers see it but I think customers will be Impressed to know your Festive promo and how far your bookings are.

There are no right or wrong in this. Every bosses have their own strategy. Why I am sharing is because 1) you didn't think of it did you? 2) all my ex bosses and clients told me my Project Management Timelines are effective in helping them achieve KPI and overachive ROI. So, why not share it. Events & PR project management are my forte. I have not fail / underachive so far. You can apply this method to all jobs, all industries, including personal life.
